Allergies

I'm having a hard time this year with allergies. I found out in August that I was allergic to all pollens, molds, dust, certain foods, and of course my precious Susie. She's my red brindle babydoll. Of course the suggestion was to find a home for her but she has a home with me. So I've started to get shots and they say it should start to help in around 6 months or so. Has anyone else gone through this? Thanks for listening to me.

I've had allergies and asthma forever too. Went through the shot business and almost everything else. I was told years ago to get rid of every critter I had. But, I've discovered that I've become immune, pretty much to my guys. I still have issues with other allergins, but take a perscription allergy medication, and that seems to keep everthing in check. I have to take it religiously though. And, if I go to someone elses house, their pets will probably bother me. Especially cats. I decided a long time ago I would never not have a dog in my life...whatever. Don't make any major decisions about Susie until you've tried everthing. And don't forget holistic alternatives.

Oh yes, I've had my allergy issues! I'm definitely allergic to cats to the point where my eyes will swell, so I cannot have them around me ~ if I'm going to a house that has one, I take a Claritin before going and I'm usually ok. Then, years ago, I found out I was allergic to my Husky's hair, but it was only during certain times, when she was shedding excessively. I take allergy medication, which helps but doesn't completely take it away, but there is no way I would live without my dogs. 10 years later, I still have my Husky! So far, no problems with TQ, thank goodness. But even if there were, he means so much to me, I can't imagine life without him snuggling next to me, I would somehow deal with it.

Thank you ladies for sticking by your guns. LOL. Our furbabies are so much a part of our families it would be like giving away on of our children.

I commend you for your faithfulness and all you endure to keep your family together.
