Firefox?

After many years of happily using Safari, I downloaded Firefox because a friend thought I'd need it to negotiate our work email system. I wasn't happy with it at all. It didn't run as fast as Safari (I have a Powerbook w/OS 10.4) and was confusing for me to negotiate. I attempted to learn it for about a month, then dumped it. Turned out I didn't need it anyway.

There are members of my family including me who to them safari is a dirty word. All we ever get is safari suddenly quitting. What gives with that?

I had trouble with Safari, too. It was always quitting or freezing or something. I switched to Firefox and was quite happy with it for a long time. Now it's giving me problems, mostly the spinning ball. They always want me to upgrade but my Mac is only a 10.3 and the new Firefox needs more than that. Anyone have any ideas about what's going on?

Firefox has long been my browser of choice. It seems to handle more web sites with ease that Safari. You might try clearing the cache by going to Preferences under the Firefox menu, select Advanced on the top and the Network tab, then click the Clear Now button.
