Hello Chrissy O,
I like that. We have a motorhome and love every second of our travel time and are about to start full timing in the near future. We're preparing now for our final leg of the downsizing process, sold our house and purchased campground affiliated memberships and hope to be full time on the road by Winter 2009. I don't know much about Roadtreks except they are super decked out conversion vans. Personally I told my husband if we weren't going to have a home then I wanted a Class A. If we retained our home then I wouldn't be opposed to a Class C but I think, even though a Roadtrek is nice for long weekend excursions I don't think you'll like it for a part time or full time lifestyle. They are just too compact. Keep us updated. Always love to hear from fellow campers.
I have to agree, I think you'd want something bigger as there are days you just couldn't get out and well I want room for my personal things. I got a 26ft camper and I've been happy staying in it but I've only done it a month the longest and there was enough room for my things and to enjoy myself inside in the evening if I had to do it. Heck you're going to want a chair to sit out and enjoy the view and a nice warm evening so maybe see if you could rent something and see how it goes for a short time?
