Back home again!
Dear friends and Romantics!
First of all, thank you for all the birthday wishes I received and found here at Eons upon returning home from my European journey last night! I think there was a mistake made somewhere as my birthday isn't till January but many thanks anyway!! Yes, my daughter and I returned home last night, "jet lagged" and weary after 13 hours of flying from Paris to Los Angeles! The trip was magical and the memories of our 15 day journey to six different countries will forever be imprinted in our hearts and our minds! We started our journey in London, England and then visited Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and France. The scenery in Germany and Switzerland was indescrabably beautiful and the people in both countries were hospitable sand friendly. The food was deliciously fattening but we didn't care as we enjoyed the delicacies, the chocolate and the pastries to our hearts' content!! My daughter is model thin so she can afford the calories unlike me who really has to hit the gym now that I'm home again!! It was all sooo worth it!! London, Italy and Paris were worth visiting for their cultural and historical treasures. In London we visited the castles and Buckinham Palace as the Queen was on a "holiday" and the Palace was open to the public. In Venice we enjoyed a Gondola ride with a handsome Italian tenor singing to us while we cruised the canals! Florence and Lucerne are incredible as they have the museums and the art treasures to enjoy and Paris, oh, Paris!! I want to go back to Paris again and stay at least a week enjoying the cosmopolitan athmosphere and the fashions and the French food, etc.. I don't know why people say that the French people are rude as my daughter and I found them to be very hospitable and nice! Our last night in Paris we went to the Moulan Rouge and saw the show with the Can-Can dancers and a variety of different acts in the cabaree! The men in our tour group had a treat as some of the girls in the dance numbers were topless!! There is just too much to tell about our trip but I highly recommend a tour like ours just to get a taste of different countries in Europe. It was an unforgettable experience!
