I enjoy all art. I am usually given something (broken necklaces and such) to see what I can make of it. Enjoy that the most. I like to work with wire and make unique pieces. But, I very much like to see other's work.
Alma
I enjoy the whole process of making jewelry - from the sometimes vague idea to the finished project. I'm here to learn from everyone.
Some of the photos are just amazing!!! Good work good times!!
Glad I found this group and hope to learn from each other's creative side, and any pointers to share. I plan to read more of your comments to learn from.
Anxious soon to take a Beginner Class of jewelry making to learn the ends and outs of the trade.
I can imagine every single stray piece we will use in creating a piece.
Just as I've done when I sew and have extra material.
I have located beads and pieces at garage sales to help one of my brothers in a nursing home to start up this craft. He has taken this interest big time, no lessons, and has sold every piece when opportunity. I am so proud of him.
I did purchase lots of glass beads recent on sale at a fabric store, and hope to find same type of sales to save some money while learning. In past so far made three Christian ear-rings to begin with.
Hello everyone,
It's nice to know there are others who enjoy beads and jewelry making and find this group. I have been working with beads for years and just love it. I started working with wire and metal a bit ago and am working hard to learn more. I look forward to participating with this group.

Gee I thought I had a secret....hmmm...."hobbie"....I guess I just like stringing beads.....I keep telling people who ask if I sell anything, I just like stringing the bead, and buying the beads, and sorting the beads, and ok, playing with them! It is cheaper than a psychologist (how is that spelled???). I put my vast array of beads in plastic containers, then change my mind then put them into little plastic baggies (I hope the government doesn't keep track of people buying baggies for bad reasons, really they are for beads). I carry them in shoe boxes then change my mind and put them into a rolling luggage. My family says I need a whole room for my beads and they are probably right. When I work on beads I like to see what I have and then take little of that and a bit of this and put it together which means I need a lot of table space. So if anyone wants to donate a placed with say....at least 12 rooms, call me!
