Art in Boston

Jamaica Plain (JP) Open Studios – Sept. 27 – 28, 2008 from 11 am – 6 pm

Over 220 artists at 65 sites show and sell their work in artists studios, historic homes, Sam Adams brewery complex, Arnold Arboretum, and more. Discover fresh talent - more than one third of the artists are new to the JP Open Studios this year.

Also new – free walking tours of JP and artists studios with the JP Historical Society departing from JP Licks at 12 and 4; departing from Stonybrook T station at 10 am and 2 pm both days.

All activities are free and open to the public. Free maps are available at information booths located at JP Licks (659 Centre Street), the Eliot School (24 Eliot Street), the Brewery (284 Amory Street) during the event. Or visit www.jpopenstudios.com to download a map and to preview artists’ work. Visitors can also customize a map through Google maps. Call 617-943-7819 for more information.

Jamaica Plain and Open Studios is accessible by the T at the Jackson Square, Stony Brook, Green Street and Forest Hills stations.

thanks for the head's up. we go every year and just love it! the art is amazing -- new, different, inspiring, and the spirit is of a festival -- some great food, too. love it!
