Monk has made OCD or (CDO in alphabetical order) pretty darned normal. We love Monk.
I have some friends that have this disorder and their lives are pretty tidy compared to mine. Actually they are great workers, on time, and very responsible. They have a wonderful sense of humor and I am proud to call them my friends. (I just wish they would come over and organize me)
One of my quirks has to do with Eons. When I log on, I have to look at my groups in a certain order and it's not exactly the order that I have them listed.
Boy, where do I start? Toilet paper-has to be over the top, Kitchen-can't have dirty dishes in the sink overnight, Laundry-always wash white load first (probably came from using a wringer washer many moons ago), Silverware-always must have knife, fork & spoon setting beside dinner plate (drives my family nuts, they don't use them all, so why put them out) oh the knife blade MUST be facing the plate too, all my books are grouped by authors too. When I get up in the morning, the first thing I do is make the bed, no one else in the house does, just me. If they want to have their beds look messy, I just shut their doors. Can't stand to see any trash can full, sometimes I empty them several times a week. My husband & son couldn't care less if the kitchen trash can would overflow on the floor, they just keep smashing it down to put more in. What's with that concept. Can't stand colors that don't match, all must be in harmony with each other. Now that I stop to think of it, I am a little more like Monk than I thought!! That's alright, my kids & husband still love me anyway-ha ha.
