I don't drink...but when I had my hysterectomy, I was "under the influence" of Morphine for 24 hours in which I'm told that I held my boyfriend's brother's hand and told him how much I loved him...
Perhaps the most embarrassing moment, was when they wheeled me out of surgery, I cried like a little baby and kept saying. "Mommy, Pee Pee".
I had a cathiter that was inserted wrong. The nurses responded but my mother just thought it was hilarious for her 36 year old daughter to revert back to babyhood. I don't remember it, but the rest of the family never lets me forget it...
I have always hated feeling that fragile or vulnerable...but what was humiliating then, is just another funny story now...One of the things I love about getting older...

remembered to come home... No matter how much I drink... I can't seem to forget where I live.
Amond, that is funny. The sort of things that couples remember for many years to come (sorry your date didn't find it so).
I lost my purse once...was walking downtown, home from an evening of drink and merriment with male coworkers. Guess it slipped right off my arm. And have been paranoid about losing my purse since.
Gee....how many of these stories do I have??
When I was in high school in 1964, a senior, we went downtown for the traditional OU/Texas beerfest in Dallas Texas the night before the game in the Cotton Bowl. I had never drank before and boy was I showing off. It turned out the guys from Texas wanted someone to ride a Texas Longhorn thru downtown Dallas Texas on Main Street and then turn left back to Elm Street.
Well Miss high and fearless said sure why not. I am going to be remembered forever because my high school mascot was a Bison who we led on the field. I got up on this HUGH animal and here I went. I was guided by OU and Texas guys holding me on and guiding the Longhorn with a rope. Well I made it. I even got to have a nice talk with a wonderful Police officer. He thought it was funny and told me to go home.
The next few days were some of the worst. My picture ended up in the school paper and year book. I got calls from OU and Texas papers wanting my address to send their pictures to. I felt like I had really done something so STUPID that I could never top it.
My cousins and friends still remind me whenever OU and Texas play. I can only hope that the Longhorn had as much fun as I did.
FleaMarketQueen, that was hilarious! Remembered in print even! Wow!
