Susan Isaacs's blog

Susan Isaacs has written a wonderful piece to the Jewish voters about Obama. Check it out. If I knew how to do a link, I would.

I read the piece and I feel that those who say they are not prejudiced, should look deeper. I am an African-American, who has Jewish inlaws. Two of my nephews are jewish. To not vote for someone because they are black, white, jewish or other, is prejudiced. Obama is not a socialist. He wants the poor and middle class, of every color, to have a chance at the american dream. McCain wants more wars because that is all he know. If it wasn't for Cindy's billions, he would be talking like Obama. He has 'forgotten' all his maverick talk of the past. Because of Bush's war, our economy is in the toilet...McCain wants more of the same. If that happens, we will all be eating out of dumpsters.

My heritage is Jewish; and I agree with Susan Isaacs when she writes, “Jews and blacks together always seemed as natural to me as peanut butter and jelly.”

Isaacs goes on to say, “Too many Jews are buying into the same sort of blood libel and belligerent ignorance that has tormented our people throughout our history.” She cites the example of “Henry Ford's accusation in The International Jew of a secret conspiracy among Jews to achieve world dominance.”

[How soon we forget that our predecessors were maliciously slandered and libeled . . . and worse. To do the same to another is no Mitzvah (a good deed, resulting in a blessing for one’s self).]

Isaacs finishes with, “November fourth is an important test for us. We will get to see if we are mensches or if have turned into the people we most despise.”
