Coughs - Big Time

Had some stray dogs in the yard last week, and then Sunday Rocky starting hacking and Monday Samantha started it too. They both hacked up white stuff for a day, and now they do not - no blood in it. Rocky is better today, but Samantha was so bad last night, I got up two or three times to give her some water. Called the vet and he said, they must have caught a virus from the strays - they have had their Bordatella shots (spelling), and he said to wait a couple of more days and if not better, antibiotics would be in order. Anyone else had this experience?

I would keep a close eye on them. Hopefully, it's just a virus like the vet said. And since your dogs are fully innoculated, the chance of them picking up anything serious is slim.

Another thing to watch out for - worms. Lucky got worms even though he's on a heartworm preventative. The stray cats from next door like to hang out in our yard. And must've given us an infestation of worms. My dogs never leave the yard so I know they couldn't have picked up the worms that way.
