Prevent Alzheimer's
There are many tips about how to minimize the possibility of getting Alzheimer's. The most recent one is quite interesting as researchers from Wake Forest University have found that people who take "ACE inhibitors" to control their blood pressure experience about 50 percent LESS decline in cognitive functions including memory and abstract reasoning as people who don't take these medications. It turns out ACE inhibitors can "cross the blood brain barrier" and in doing so, they probably reduce inflammation. If you take blood pressure medication, you might want to check to see you're taking one of the following ACE inhibitors:
* Enalapril (Vasotec®/Renitec®)
* Ramipril (Altace®/Tritace®/Ramace®/Ramiwin®)
* Quinapril (Accupril®)
* Perindopril (Coversyl®)
* Lisinopril (Lisodur®/Lopril®/Novatec®/ Prinivil®/Zestril®)
* Benazepril (Lotensin®)
