I may be dumb, but just what is a skit? Way back in the days before the war my family lived in Rockland, first on 32 Hingham Str,then on 343 East Water Str,thirdly because of a fire,on 9 Nutty Hill Rd., in Hingham, from where I was drafted on Feb.23rd,1945.At that time I decided to spend the rest of my life in the army,20 years 3 months and 8 days later I returned to Rockland at 343 East Water St.with a german wife.in June 1965.In August 65 we returned to Helmstedt,Germany. In 1972 we divorced and she returned with a new man to the USA.I decided the US was too small for us both to live in at the same time.I have been living in Germany now for 44 years. I have a wonderful german lady with whom I have loved and lived with now for 27 years. We visited Rockland in 1991 and again in 93 to attend a nephews marriage. He married a rich family in Boston. My sister lives in Montana, but the rest of the family are all deceased other then the sister-in-law with whom I have no longer contact,or her son.I have close contact with one of my brothers 4 daughters, who lives in California. She gives me info about the rest of the living Kraemers. Also she visits Cape Cod every year to be with her sisters.
Hi Albin - Welcome to MA Boomers! A skit is an acronymn for "spending kid's inheritance trips". It's a get together.....could be just 2 people meeting for lunch, or 22 people meeting in Vegas for 4 days. Just a nice way to get to meet each other and socialize. This particular post is from last year. Not sure if Suzy is having one this summer.
Flyingstandby,thanks for the info.Since I never had kids.I won´t be spending anyones inheritance.Have a nice weekend.
Thanks for the explanation of skit... love it! Grew up in Lynn and lived many years in Cambridge. Married a Canadian, and am now retired in Nova Scotia. We get to MA to visit family and for Christmas every year. Love hearing about 'home'.
