Good question... both of you. LOL!
I would have kept the money, hid the grass to smoke later and let the cops have the heroin - I have NO use for that stuff.
I'd keep the money too. Would dispose of the dope along with that incriminating tool box.
Give it all to the cops. Is there any other way to do it?
What do you think the cops do with it?
I would keep the money. I would then take the rest and go for a very long drive into the countryside and then a long hike into the woods and bury the rest. Good riddance. I dont do drugs so would not keep any of the rest and i would be afraid that if i turned in the toolbox somehow it would be discoverd that i kept the money and or somehow the bad guys would track it back to me as being the one who turned it in and would want their money back when it was reported by the police of what was in the box minus the money...bad guys would put two and two together and come a lookin for their money....nooooooo sir reeeeeee if i was going to keep the money no way would i turn in the rest.
All of you have lost you minds. First I would have opened the tool box their on the street. Knowing that, the dealer of those products would not be happy to loose the $40K in cash, $200K in heroin and most likely his own 14oz of weed I would not have run the risk of bringing that kind of trouble down on my family. Rather call the cops and let them deal with it. In Miami some years back a home owner found a briefcase with nearly $500K in cash. Called the cops and four years later claimed half of the unclaimed funds. Look it sounds easy and fun but in today's world with the violent crime on most American streets, would really want to bring that down on your family?
I would keep the cash, probably keep some of the weed and throw away the heroin. And if I smoked the weed then I'd probably become paranoid waiting for the owner to come looking for me.
Yeah. He kept the cash and a couple bags of weed. Called the cops and gave them all the other stuff. Suppose he could have made a lot of money out of the misery of others. He was an honorable man though. I respected him for that. If whoever wants that toolbox back they can contact the Cheyenne Police Department. Don't know what they did with it. I reckon the fellow who lost it is dead.
