book

I found a new series of books written by Maggie Sefton the reason I am posting this on here is that the books are about mysteries that take place in a yarn shop as the story unfolds, they talk about kinds of yarn, patterns, for example, in the first book the main character doesn't know how to knit and doesn;t really want to learn the ladies finally talk her into learning and is interesting how they do it they talk about different yarns most of I have never heard of if I wan't a knitter, after reading these books I sure would like to learn they talk about a yarn that has silk in it and they describe a sweater to die for sorry for going on and on

I just finished book one on Friday and started book two yesterday. I got them off of Paperback Book Swap and plan to get book three too.

I think they are fun books and a quick read, although I can't imagine so many people going to a shop to knit on a daily basis. Does your LYS have the same people there day after day?

Debbie Macomber has the Blossom Street series about women connected by a knitting class. I don't belong to a knitting group although I would probably love it. Going somewhere to knit everyday is a bit more than I could handle.

I agree, every day would be a bit much. I do belong to a group that meets weekly. It is a blast. We all share ideas and help each other. It is really nice to be able to get together with other knitters to just sit and share the experience.

As it turns out, I am reading the books you are talking about. Had to go check my stash. I am enjoying the first one so far. Haven't gotten far since I would have to take time out of crafting to take time to read!!!! LOL

i am reading book 2 at the moment. Loved the first one, and might actually think of knitting the project included in the book. I learned about some of the differeent yarns as I was reading.
