Hi friends,
I grew up in Fredericksburg and I still like to keep in touch with that part of the world. I hope that I can hear from some folks from that area here.

Hello Everyone!

I just found this group and was glad to come across one for members living in the DC, MD and VA area. I've been reading and seeing other group members get together with people in their area, and wondered if Maryland had such a group of people who wanted to connect.
I've been a member of Eons for over a year and I manage a bible group called The Open Bible. I love to travel and meet people and enjoy life. I hope to find some good friends in this group and I look forward to our social gatherings.

Hi,I'm Karin, and I'm new in the D.C. area. I moved here last year from Indiana, and am living in Stafford, Va., with my son, who is a major in the Corps at Quantico.
I love the area; so much history. I love touring the battlefields and museums. I love the water, too, but have no boat. My son is learning to sail. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the traffic. Wow! How do you folks survive it? And I thought Chicago was bad! I'd go sight-seeing much more if I could figure out how to get there. We're planning a trip to the mountains within the next couple of weeks; hoping to see some color.
I'm 61, divorced, mother of four, grandmother of five, and great grandmother of four. Still enjoying life.

Almost settled in...
My place was finally available and I just moved in. Although I'm still waiting for some furniture, I should be checking in online a little more often. Staying with my sister while I waited for my place to open up was both a blessing and a curse (2 grown opinionated territorial women in one house - aargh! ) But we made it thru without any permanent damage. Anyway, on with the rest of my life, first stop - a new career. Any advice out there?
Helllllllloooooooo.
Was excited to find this group on Blue Coffee's profile....Hope there will be some activity for us locals.
I was born in Washington, DC (Columbia Hospital for Women) and lived in Washington until Jr. High when we moved to Hyattsville/Mt. Rainer...
Have been in Anne Arundel Co. for past 8 years and this period is the JOY of my life. We LOVE the water & are 18 minutes from our Marina...Hate thinking of putting the boat away....It is how to RELAX!!!!! We are so fortunate in this area to have so much beauty (that many haven't even seen). The Chesapeake Bay is truly a treasure.....
Hope to see some postings!!!!

What shall I say?
Hello! After a long week, here's a little online R&R for this single Mom out in Loudoun.
Tell me, are you all in some disbelief that we're at the age we are? Not that it's bad, I love my life, but, wow, the 50's. And I still listen to some great music, have fun, & don't feel like I've become my parents!

Hello from Arlington
I've only been on Eons for a few days and came across this group while exploring and thought it might be good way to meet some folks in the area. Looking over the posts, it appears the activity is a bit slow, but let's hope it picks up.
