Description

The de' Medici family were perhaps the greatest impetus of the Italian Renaissance who created an environment where artists, engineers and scientist of the day could flourish. Learning was valued and knowledge enjoyed for its own sake. There is much to be learned from this era in history, and the comparison to events and culture in our own time cannot be ignored.
