Welcome!
Glad to have you as a member of the Ron Paul for President group. There are going to be some big changes in the next few weeks as we get things going.
On the way will be:
A co-moderator and good friend of mine from Wisconsin. He has been a lifelong Conservative while I was born and raised a Liberal. We plan to carry our constant head butting over to the group so that people at both ends of the political spectrum can see how 2 such divergent viewpoints can both support Ron Paul.
An indexed links page which we will update as often as possible. We plan to provide documented answers to people's questions.
With enough membership and interest, we hope to contact Representative Paul's people directly in an effort to go right to the man himself with our questions.
Ambitious? Perhaps. I only know there is a need to be as informed as possible before the next election. No matter what their viewpoint, few people would disagree that we cannot repeat the mistakes of the past and survive as a country. We believe that Ron Paul can change the destructive course we are on.

Hi all
I haven't posted in a while. I'm bummed, of course, by Ron Paul not continuing the fight until the convention... and I'm so disappointed in Obama for supporting the FISA spy bill. Now I'm not a big Obama fan but good heavens I had hoped he had more character than that!!! And John McCain is just beyond the pale horrific in temperment and idiotic in a lack of understanding of economics and a zillion other things. I am so upset about this great nation's future!! Here's my latest Nolan Chart column that does offer some good news -- at least there is a serious move on to try the Bush regime for war crimes. view link
Ron Paul Revolution-DC-I went!
I attended the rally in DC today. It was brutally hot and a big sacrifice, but I did for everyone's freedom,lol!
I am so riled up now, but too tired to post much about it. I will throw what I learned today into my responses on threads in other groups.
Listening to the speakers today ( we didn't stay to hear Paul himself because I wanted to go to the Smithsonian) I cannot imagine how anyone can seriously consider either Obama or McCain.

If you have not checked out BreakTheMatrix you need to. Here is a link to an excellent post by Micah. He manages to put into words what I think a lot of us Paulers have come to realize, and that is: the American public are walking zombies, unable to do any critical thinking anymore.

He also lists several EOs which the Decider has signed, and which are robbing us of our liberties. I just finished my copy of "The Revolution: A Manifesto" and bought extra copies to give away. We must not stand by and allow McInsane to steal the nomination from the citizens.

“Paul, for instance, favors a drastically reduced federal govermnment, abolishing the Federal Reserve, ending the Iraq war immediately and withdrawing U.S. troops from abroad.” ( from the article).
For those of us who dont like Obama and don't like McCain, here is , still, an option. Maybe the conventions will actually be interesting this year.

But how can this be?? Have the mainstream media overlooked their duty to ignore him, discredit him, and paint him as the comic-relief candidate of a handful of looney-tuners like us?
Weren't the snide dismissals of his principled, Constitutionally-based positions by the likes of Rudy Guiliani (who?) during the Republican "debates" sufficient to send him slinking in disgrace back to Texas?
Can it be that the combined might of both left and right wings of the RWBGP (Republicratic War and Big Government Party) has somehow failed to extinguish and may even have helped to fan the flame of a yet dimly-felt yearning across America?
McCain, Obama, Hillary... better take Satchel Paige's advice. Don't look over your shoulders... because something IS gaining on you.
