Retired?
I was in the first group who without warning had to return to work at 65. One state teachers had called and asked me to take early retirement (they were a God send) at 63. I waited to turn 65 for my other teachers and social security. My other state teachers changed their package without warning just before my birthday so I no longer qualified. Social security went down by 3/4 at the same time. I keep my stress management and real estate careers going but this recession is interfering. I believe there is a reason for all things under the sun so I know it will go together as long as I continue to do my best. I love life and enjoy good health. The rest will come on its own schedule. Enjoy your moments making each the best it can be,
My Dream Retirement Job
Although it will probably be a few years before I retire, I think that my optimal retirement job would be coaching. I have a background in business and I think it would be great to coach young adults who want to start a business and don't have any idea how to do this. I would especially like to coach those who want to go into service based business like massage therapists, estheticians and yoga teachers. Doing coaching can oftentimes be done via phone alone. That way I could also travel and make my own schedule. What are other people thinking about doing?

What is the retirement dream job that you have always dreamed about?
I will lead off by telling mine. My dream job is to generate retirement income using the Internet. This will allow me to run my business from anywhere in the world where there is an Internet connection. This way, Linda, my wife of over 40 years, and I can travel without being out of touch with my business.

Cement Kiln Expert
I am looking for a consulting expert on cement kilns who has years of experience with these kilns and "tire" failure. The main steel ring (tire) that rotates the cement kiln cracked. I need a metallurgical engineer or other expert who can explain why it failed. Credentials in this area must be impeccable. if you are able to freelance this job is a short term consulting job. This business is not for everyone, but on the other hand, feel an obligation to try and help others, supplement their social security checks or have some passive income. Used to work as a Store Manager for Home Depot and Lowe's. Came across this business about 16 months ago, left the Corporate World, where I use to work 60-80 workweeks. Now work from home and take my business on my laptop anywhere in the World, travel alot.
Not a get rich scheme, no free lunch, must do the work to earn the income. So if you enjoy the Internet, and have at least 12-20 hours per week, would be happy to train anyone.
And there is an investment required, just like in any business, you do need some start up capital.
You will earn $1000, or $4500 or even $10,000 per sale or nothing. Were all adults here and know that any business, does require work.
Basically, commissioned sales with an automated system, were in the Webucation field, and market on line educational
courses over the Internet, courses in Forex, Real Estate, Negotiation, SuccesforKids, etc.

Its not any of that "junk" you see on the Internet such as pills, vitamins, energy drinks, insurance, herbalife, Amway, etc. where you waste your time making hundreds of phone calls for little profits. Need help finding retired engineer
BoomerGuru suggested posting this as maybe one of you in the group knew of a retired Premier Bridge Engineer with many years of long and tall bridge project experience. I am looking for one to help out on a project. It would require part time consulting as part of a team- meeting a few times in Chicago, working from home, and with a couple of site visits to Arizona/Nevada. Hourly fees and travel paid. Helping Boomers in Retirement Get Benefits

I run the Building a Virtual Company group under Careers.
Thanks to EONS, we now have a survey tool posted on this group site ONLY that is collecting data on your business interests during retirement. So far, the data we have correlates with national polls showing 77 percent or so of boomers will want to run home-based virtual companies (not necessarily selling on line, but that can happen).
Hoping you can take three minutes to jump to the page, join the group if you want, and take this survey. If questions don't apply to you then click Not Applicable. It's quick and easy, but will help boomers get health insurance, the housing we need, broadband/telecomm service, etc. . .

Earn income while maintaing good health
Yes, it is possible to earn supplemental or additional income while also helping others, including yourself to attain better health thru whole food nutrition.
