Shall We Kick It Up A Notch?
Observation: This group has the potential to be a valuable source and resource of vital, up-to-date industry information. By pooling our experiences, discoveries and "ahas" we might well benefit. The activity here, however, is sorely lacking.
Question: Could each of us come up with just one idea, experience, an"aha" moment or discovery to share? If so, please post so we can breathe some life into this party.
My background includes, current membership in an International Master Faculty for a large Real Estate Firm. I have practiced as a Trainer/ Instructor in Real Estate Principles, Marketing, Cornerstones For Business Building plus Mindsets, Moods and Attitudes in and out of the" workplace". This has, among other things, afforded me great insight into the importance of advocating the absolute necessity of ELECTIVE continuing education for every single Real Estate Professional . Our Industry is changing daily and we are responsible to grow and change with it accordingly. This market, right here and right now shall be with us for longer than we can fathom, potentially. The domino effect of this "shifting " market along with the mortgage crises so many are facing is a stern study unto itself. Our responsibilities now and ever, as we know, are vast.
How are we operating in this market and with what tools and strategies?
How are we coping with the demands?(Both professionally and personally)
Where do we see ourselves in five years?
BACK TO THE PARTY...
Comments please...
Cheers,

Greetings from Western Washington
Hello to everyone! I am new to EONs so pardon my initial stumbling around. Also, I can't get my picture to load so that frog picture really look's more like my neighbor than me. On to serious things ... I am a professional Reverse Mortgage Specialist and proud of helping so many wonderful people here in my corner of the country. I am also a retired estate planner and wonderfully connected to some excellent talent in the retirement planning advice business. I would enjoy chatting with anyone who has questions about reverse mortgages; I run educational workshops and have extensive knowledge about this program that you could share with friends and family.

Inflation,lower home values?
I am not in the real estate business, but there is one question that has been in the back of my mind. In my last evaluation in l997, my home was valued at $86,000. Later on I had it valued at $150,000.
My insurance has gone down because of the lowered house values and they put a value on it for $96,000. This is a 3 bedroom,2 bath, double car garage, livingroom den, breakfast room,l brick porch, one tiled, double paned windows,2500 square foot on the house part, a ranch style home.
My question is this, the house has been valued for less, right? Inflation is here, right? If rebuilt, the house can be built for %96,000?

Seeking Sales Reps for Real Estate Industry
I am looking for a well qualified sales "superstar" who will be calling on real estate professionals with a unique and effective marketing capability.
The key to the success for us is in who, not where, meaning they can live anywhere and as long as they have a sales and marketing skill set and technology skills I am interested in talking to them.
Certainly they have to have the capability to cold call and attract the attention of the busy real estate professional.
If any of you have a friend, family member, associate that you feel would be a good candidate please have them contact me at sean@sjollc.com.
This position is only availabe to a sales superstar and has the opportunity to pay in access of 6 figures in the 1st year.
Your help and suggestions is appreciated.

Seattle area REALTOR
Hello everyone. I just joined eons and this group. I look forward to meeting colleagues and helping people buy or sell real estate. I was born and raised in the Seattle area and currently live in Shoreline which borders Seattle to the south, Snohomish County in the north, Puget Sound to the west, and Lake Washington to the East. Real estate consulting has been my career of choice for the last 8 years. Prior to that I worked as a Systems Analyst for The Boeing Company for 25 years. Things that are important to me are family, friends, pets, my career, gardening, and peace.
PARKLAND, FLORIDA
Any realtors in that area! I am a Miami Broker and have a couple that might be listing their home for sale there. Since is out of my area I am willing to refer the listing. If so what is your experience and what type of split to you offer?
Open House Horror story with a great ending
I have a friend who is a real estate agent. Mary is female and very attractive. Her job takes her into many different areas of the city and she is showing property sometimes late at night.
A week ago she received a phone call from a man who was interested in a house in a very prosperous area of the city. She agreed to meet him at the house, which was empty, at 7:00 that evening. She had gathered a few facts about him such as information about his family, where he was from and where he worked, so he appeared to be a bona fide customer wanting to buy a very nice house. She had asked him where he found her listing and he said he had seen her photograph in the Sunday edition of the newspaper.
She arrived at the house early in order to turn on the lights and the cooling system. She was standing in the door waiting for him when he arrived. A 2008 Lexus sedan pulled up in front and a well dressed man stepped out. He had dark hair and a beard but he was well groomed. His clothes fitted well and were pressed. Overall he presented a nice appearance. He came to the door and shook her hand and introduced himself. Mary accepted him for what he appeared to be, an affluent customer for a very nice house.
Once inside she thought he followed her a little too closely as she lead him from room to room showing him the various good points of the residence. When they entered the Master Bath, he made his move. He reached out to grab her but she reached in her pocket for her LIPSTICK PEPPER SPRAY and pressed the button. Stunned, he backed away, wiping his eyes as he ran out the door. Without that pepper spray in her pocket the story would have had a different ending. She never goes anywhere without the LIPSTICK PEPPER SPRAY which she found at view linkcom' rel='nofollow'>view link in her pocket
As we all know a Realtors job can be dangerous. Even when we take all the right steps. Please check out view link There you will find not only the lipstick pepper spray , but numerous other self defense items as well as home protection items. All the items are at discounted prices. Be prepared and safe.
