Midge 1993-2008
My friend Midge died last night. She wanted to visit Matthew at the bridge. She went quietly. Even though she was handicapped since kittydom that did not stop her. Most of her eyesight was taken away from an upper respiratory infection when see was three weeks old. I can remember when her mother brought her onto my property. She and a friend called Lucifer showed up and I took them in as I have done for many of my cats. Lucifer died 7 years ago I still remember his playfulness. In the last few weeks Midge was very close to me she had to sleep next to me never showing a sign of illness and up till the last day still getting around. Now Midge is at thr Bridge palying with all her friends.She will be missed..........
Matthew has come home!
I would like to say to everyone thank you for your kind words. Yesterday Matthew has come home again. For anyone over the months who has lost their dear friends I too am sorry for your loss.

Two days ago my dear friend Matthew died. He climbed into a closet and as he lived life he did things his way he will be missed. I was hard to say good-bye but I know someday I shall see all my loved ones once again.
Gone But Never Forgotten
We lost our little guy just 3 days before Katrina.
We sure do miss him - was with us for 16 years. He
was not sick nor having any problems; 3 days before
Katrina it was so strange and I say was his choice
to bow out grace fully and as crazy as it sounds I
say he did because he was already aware we were in
for what was and still is a complete life changing
experience.
It's as they claim animals are more aware then us
humans and I firmly believe that is the truth.
Our little guys name was " Fred " .. he's gone
but never forgotten. Not a day goes by I dont
think of him.
Many years of happiness Thanks to our Little Guy.

New Dude at the Bridge
Our hearts go out for Mugsy the Dude who has gone over the Bridge. A warm welcome to him from the angels and a heartfelt sympathy to his Mom and all his friends. Mugsy was a party dude and loved to play the guitar. To read about him go to the Just Us Critters Group. Bye Bye Mugsy you will be missed and you are in our hearts.

just to warn others, more and more cases of Xylitol poisoning are being seen at veterinary clinics across the nation. Xylitol is a sugar free substitue used in candies and gums, such as Orbit, Trident, Icebreakers Ice Cubes, Stride, Jello pudding, and Altoid mints. Xylitol poisoning can occur after even just one piece of gum. Xyltol causes hypoglycemia (a very rapid drop in blood sugar), resulting in depression, loss of coordination and seizures. It can also lead to liver failure depending on the amount consumed. Our furkids are too precious to lose because some company is using an ingredient known to be deadly. Please don't use these products, and check any sugarfree foods you have

our grieving experiences
It used to be that the husband did not so much have a mentally healthy feeling about death and dying, esp. with his pets. As I used to be a nurse it did not seem to bother me as much. I never had a pet until I married him.
One cat lasted 21 years with natural kidney failure as did her sister at age 19 years.
Our 1st dog to die lasted 14 years with congestive heart failure, which is common in Poms. Right now I am up to at least $700.00 or more, tending to a 12 year old Pom with pancreatitis.

I started listing all my beloved pets that are at the Rainbow Bridge: Butch(dog) Morris (cat) Bubblegum (rabbit) Sukey (cat) Bootsie (cat) Tuffy (dog) Disney (cat) Misfit (cat)
Popeye (cockatiel) and Honey (dog) In between these were a Guinea pig, a snake, several hamsters, gerbils, tropical fish, and a pet mouse. (I might have missed a few) Some of them were my children's pets also. Most lived long lives.

CHELSEA
It has been a hard day we had to put our 17 year old kitty to sleep.she was a love and we miss her very much. she has not been ill long . I took her to the vet on monday. tuesday got the news her liver was failing and she had diabetis. She had not been groming her self and had started going in our bedroom..
She is now with our other wonderful pets that went before her.I hope she is at peace.
We still have a Teddybear and a Callie. thank goodness for them.

My beloved Anna
She went to the rainbow bridge on Tuesday. The house is so empty without her. I put a long post about her on Dogs,dogs,dogs but wanted to share here that she is gone and it hurts terribly.
