New kittens
I'm happy to announce that we have finally received our two new kittens. I've posted a picture on the group's picture page.
The little seal colorpoint is "Ace". His parents are a big, fluffy blue male and a mitted sealpoint female. He is sweet and on the quiet side - most of the time. He's getting in trouble a little bit but tends to let the other on get yelled at first! He was born on June 2nd.
The blue colorpoint is "Harry" after our female blue colorpoint that we lost in June. His dad is a seal lynx and his mom is a mitted blue. he was born on June 12th and so far is a real goof ball!
They had never had their nails cut when we got them so climbing our 6 ft. cat playground was easy for them. Harry got on the top platform and the next thing we knew he was hanging from the curtain rod, He looked just like that photo that is entitled "Hang in there". I'm sure you all know the one I am referring to.
Harry is a baby and Ace is much smarter. It is going to be more fun than we've had in awhile - I'm sure. We're already sore from laughing at them!

Harriette's replacements
I want to thank everyone for their nice thoughts!
We are on the list to get 2 male ragdoll kittens from the same cattery that Harriette came from. The name of the cattery is Superior Ragdolls and you can see the web page at superiorragdolls.com.
Hopefully we won't have to wait toooo long. We both miss Harriette very much and definitely need to have some little feet running around the house. I do need to kitty proof, tho. Harriette was way past causing any trouble!

Harriette's demise
Very sadly, we had to say goodbye to Harriette on Saturday. She had stopped eating, drinking and using her litter box earlier in the week and altho the vet, Lyn and I did everything possible to get her back to normal, we couldn't.

We Have Lost a Member of our Cat Family
Beeg has just recently advised of the loss of her ragdoll, Harriette. We all know how hard it can be to lose a beloved pet. Please remember her in your thoughts and prayers!

Hey, what's this thing?
I finally hung the Navajo rug and the girls aren't quite sure what to make of it. bob (on the left) is looking a little scraggly as her haircut from March is growing out and she's looking sort of freaky. Next month I'll take her back for her summer do. Furface doesn't seem to need it as her coat stays a little shorter....has not gotten any longer than what you see here and doesn't have all that fine, fine, superfine fur that lands in everything.

Lord, I love my cat
Might even love her more
If only she'd stop doing that
Hairy thing on the floor,
If she would eat the food we have
Instead of what we don't,
And if she'd meow "I will"
Instead of growl "I won't",
And if one night I'd crawl into bed
To find a hairless sheet,
Or eat a meal peacefully
Without her cry of "TREAT",
And every day without fail
To manage NOT to step on tail
Thrust schemingly beneath my feet
So guilt will flush my face with red,
Sometimes I think "dog" instead!
But, up she climbs into my lap
and with dainty paw gives cheek
a pat
Then cuddling close without fear
Purrs softly into my ear.
O Lord, how can I resist that?
I really do love that cat!
