Rain again
We've had so much rain in the last two months ...
We've had so much rain in the last two months (well over average) our back yard grass is under water. Which the mosquitos are loving. I still have to let the dogs out but hate to. They prefer to sit on the front porch with us and I can't blame them.
Then we took the doggies to the field and we couldn't let them out there as people were all over the place so we went to the school yard and it was being used to so dogs got a car ride instead. Now it is hot and very humid and supposed to rain again. Yikes. Is it ever going to end?

It's Over!
Well, the holiday and long weekend is over and it's back to the same old grind. Monday after a long weekend is the pits. It means a lot of extra work to make up for all the relaxing if you were lucky enough to get any relaxing in. I wasn't feeling top notch this weekend so tried to take a nap several times but it was a no go. I never got even one wink of nap in. Why, noise and I do mean noise. One neighbor uses a commercial power washer every day to wash and waste as much clean water as possible. He takes everything out of his garage , from bikes, to tools, and runs this very loud machine that sounds like a helicopter landing on your front lawn, to wash all, then his three trucks, two motor cycles, and three huge dune buggy machines. When that is all clean he does his car and then his drive way, sidewalk and finally the street in front of his house. This usually takes eight hours of listening to this and his wasting what little clean drinking water is left on this planet. He does it every day. No he isn't retired, he is a police officer and therefore able to stay home all day with no one noticing...He is a homicide detective that I can bet doesn't solve too many crimes unless they are committed under his power washer.
Next is the neighbor next door who is meticulus about his lawn, He runs his mowers, edger, weed wacker or trimmers constantly. One of them are in motion or his blower which is as loud as the cop's power washer. He starts at seven AM.
Would you like to go to a Mexican Fiesta? I'm sure it is fun. The people behind me and to the right put their festive spanish music full blast until eleven PM and dance, sing and party everyday until that time. They are having a ball. I don't understand a word but the laughing is contagious and the dancing in the driveway looks like fun.
Next door to them and directly behind me is ten children. Yes, ten.. they are not allowed in the house until dinner so you can only imagine the noise. They are normal screaming happy children. The people to the left of them just moved in and are tearing down a pool. Loud machinery to run until it is in pieces and gone.
My next door neighbor to the left of me is having a new porch built. The buzz saw runs as they cut each piece of wood to fit. They work until ten PM.
All the people across the street mowed their lawn at various times this weekend too including my husband and the teens in the house on the corner played thier music every bit as loud as the Mexican Fiesta...Soooo....
I didn't get any rest at all. After eleven the fireworks went on until one AM scaring the wits out of Princess.

So How Did It GO?
How did your dogs stand all the fireworks. Baby didn't like it and wanted to stay indoors. He wasn't afraid but she wanted to be away from the worst of the noise. Princess was terrified and knocked stuff over in the house and tried to crawl in small places. I don't reward terrified behavior I just act like nothing is wrong and you are okay.
BUT Arrow feared nothing. He had a ball sitting out on lawn chairs and watching them explode in the sky. We had a bon fire in the yard and he loved that too and ran around the yard checking things out. The fireworks continued into the night and Arrow never flinched. He loved the fun of being outside and part of the excitement. Then all three dogs slept well and let me sleep an extra hour this morning. But Arrow held his bladder so long he didn't make it to the door he started peeing on the floor while I was sliding the door open. I didn't scold him.

Tranqualizers
Will any of your dogs need to be tranqualized tomorrow? I think Princess might but I don't have any to give to her so she is out of luck. Baby will be all right but Arrow he isn't afraind of anything. He is too brave for his own good except that one time that a small dog came over he was afraid of that small dog. He will try to attack a big dog but fears another small guy. lol
