September days......

I realize that many in New England are having rains and winds from TS Hanna...so be safe and dry...... this past week however, i reunited with a classmate that I had not seen in 40 some years..... best friends until we were 10 and then separated until now. I took pix of loons and rocks and their property....a Ward Cabin Kit purchased in 1953 and still standing.... they have just purchased another Ward Cabin Kit for their new guest house.... lots of activity there!!!! This is a photo that I shot and rendered in Photoshop.... I have gifted this to them for their new guest house!!!

Hello

Nice to discover a New England group. I live, work and attend school in central MA. Been in New England since 1973, grew up in NY. Going to read some of the posts and explore this group.

Recovering

Dear friends,

I am just letting you know that I haven't forgotten the group but had major surgery with some complications on July 2. I am home now and getting a little better each day. I hope you are all enjoying what is left of our New England summer. Mabel

Good morning....

This is a first for me.... I'm always up early but I'm not a morning person!!! Just shuffle around for the first hour or so then after the caffeine kicks in I make my plans... not the ones I made last night... life changes while I sleep!!! Soon I'll be going down to the Deerfield Fair again... yearly occurrence for our family.... have to travel 6 hours to get there but none the less it is a great time!!!!

Hot Air Balloon Ride

I was on a Hot Air Balloon ride this morning.... We rode over the rivers covered in morning mist and across the tops of trees....even pulled a few leaves from the top! It is amazing in the quiet moments to glide along the farm fields of different colors, to see the first turning leaves on the maples, to see our shadow and reflection on the land and water.... amazing way to start ones day!!!!

There will be a GLOW this evening on the return trip.... will post pic's when I download!!!

New England

Hello all! I just found your group and had to join. I love New England. Born and raised in southeastern Connecicut and consider it to have been the best place to grow up. I transplanted to Colorado in '71 and realized that I was a westerner at heart. Nevertheless, I do love New England, miss it much. My husband is from MA, met him in Denver. Now that all our folks are gone we don't get back so often, but are planning a trip through the whole area, we hope next year. I hope you will accept me, even though I have defected somewhat. So glad to find you!

I dearly love about summers in our beautiful
New England is the abundance of sweet, wild berries growing all around me!
strawberries ~ June
blueberries ~ July
blackberries ~ August

and my pair of Sheltie sisters, Sadie + Emily sooo absolutely love, l-o-v-e munching on them too!
