New to the Group

Home: Dacono CO (just north of Denver proper by about 30 mins)

Ever do this?

Two glass bowls collide and make a chiming sound. You wonder...hmm...what note is that? And you go to the piano to find it. You notice your vacuum cleaner hums in a particular way, you hum along....and have to know what note that is. Am I weird, or do you do this too??

I have a friend with perfect pitch, and people were always doing weird things like clunk two plastic cups together, turn on a blender and ask "what note is this, what note is this?"

here we go again

there have been a few posts about lps...the newest thing is that the companies are pushing the old format now...i just saw a band on letterman and the new release they were showing was an lp!..it did not make the music any more palatable but it did cross my mond that we have gone from records...to reel-to-reel tapes to cassettes to cds....now back to records...first of all harder to duplicate...second more trouble ..is this why?
