Tell Me You Don't Love This!

Photobucket

This one of the greatest conceptual vehicles of the time - switching easily between a motorcycle and a tricycle. Besides the fact it looks absolutely amazing, this vehicle was designed so that the seats rotate in such way that they’ll always keep the occupants sitting upright.

Just think, when we get too old to get on a bike, here's the trike for us!

Scooters Rule!

From QDB:

I had the best race home from work today
I pull out from work on my motorbike, and theres a guy on another bike right next to me, who sees me and like takes off
so I take off after him, and we're like dodging in and out of traffic hard out
lol
and we stop at a set of lights, next to this guy on a scooter
lights go green and we're off again
doing like 120ish in a 50 zone
lawd
get to the next set of lights
and like a minute later, the guy on the scooter arrives agaibn
lights change, and we're off again, but we get hed up by a big assed queue of traffic we cant get past
D:
so we're sitting there waiting
and the guy on the scooter goes by in the cycle lane
and we just hung our heads

Bwahahahahaha.

TIP #3 - Be Ever Vigilant!

When I drive a car, I am kind of on automatic pilot. I have been driving since I was 17, so that makes it, um 17 from er 37....um about OMG! 48 years! Fan me, please, I am going to hyperventilate here.

OK, I feel better now. As I was saying, driving a car is now pretty automatic for me. But when I first got on that bike, wow, what a difference! I felt like I needed eyes not only on the back of my head but on the sides as well. People do the damdest things when they are out and about. Not just the ones behind the wheel, but pedestrians who just pop out from between parked cars when they want to cross the road, or open the car door into traffic without looking.

And the drivers who just slam on their brakes in front of you, or who pull out right in front of you, or ... the scary part.... the ones who come racing up behind you and you are sure are going to make you a hood ornament.

Then there are the ones who pass you on the highway....and want to pass you in YOUR lane. Oh, please. Give me a break, here, guys.

Do you think that now you have been riding for so long that you are a better car driver?

motorcyclists terms

just thought of this topic and it means any term used by riders of the two wheels and to start it out some bikers call people who ride around in cars "cagers" cause
they ride around in a cage. and old early days British cycle helmets had ear holes simular to out modern day football helmets, so when a Bloak (rider) went around a corner or curve really leaned over close to the ground it was said the be "ear holing it".

Sturgis 08

We just got back from riding our bikes 3500 miles in WY, MT and SD. Went to Sturgis, my first time. Enjoyed the small towns around it, but too many people and too much traffic there. The Black Hills are awesome and the riding is beautiful. We rode the Beartooth Hwy in MT and over the Bighorn Mtns several times. I love the riding out there. Less traffic and fantastic scenery.
I live near Deal's Gap (Dragon's Tail) and the Cherohala Skyway, so we've got nice riding here, too, but I love riding out West. Can't wait to go back.

Riding - Sunday

Am I the only one going out riding? We went back to that same little town today because it is market day. That little town was clogged with people. It was the motherlode of pickup trucks.

This is a rural town, and the mercado (market) venders sell live animals. See the turkey in the bottom cage?

Sorry about the photo quality. Probably set my camera wrong.

cycle related stories or jokes

OK you people responded to the past messages I put in so heres another one to go with can be any story or jokes that cycle related , and again I'll be the first one to put my foot in my mouth.
I was following and guy on a BMW motorcycle through the city one fine day and we came to a stop signal he fell over on his side, got up picked the bike up and continued on his way only to catch another red light stopped again and fell over, I noticed over the course of several more lights he did the same thing.
finally at the last light he fell over and was by then so tired I walked up to help him, and he said to me "darn things been doing that since I took the sidecar off" , sorry thats the best I can do at the moment ! enjoy the ride !
