I'm sooo proud of Chip. Today, came home, got ready to go to the dog park. Let him in the garage, to the car, and was not thinking, pushed the button to open the big garage door, AND CHIP WAS NOT IN THE CAR YET.
I yelled for him to stop (and he did). Got him in the car, and praised him soooo much. He could have just darted out, and down the street. But my good boy listened to me, and obeyed me. I'M SOOO PROUD. I've always wanted to test him (in the open) to see if he would come/stay and listen to me, but was afraid too. Well, now I know. But I'll still take all the precautions to keep him safe.

New to the world of MinPins!

I just now joined. I have been literally adopted by a MinPin. She came to our door, and never left. I think she had been abused before she found us. We have a beagle named Spencer, and she found him and then found us. We took her to the vet after asking around to see if she belonged to any neighbors. The vet said she is about 2 yrs old. We have had her since May 2, and just had her spayed. We have named her Isabella ("Bella" for short) and she and our beagle, Spencer, LOVE each other. Constantly playing if she isn't on our laps.

She is so very smart! The vet says she is mostly Min-pin but looks like she has some jack russell in her. I'll post photos of her in the photo section.

Sargeant's Flashers

I posted a photo in the photo section of Sargeant in his concert gear. The flasher is one of two that I have around his neck. Turn them on at intermission and then after the concert. You can't miss him! Lots of comments from folks. He's a minor celeb!

Concert Season

We're blessed here in Tucson to have Spring and Fall free concerts. One series is on Saturday nights and the other is on Sunday nights. Both are in parks with dog parks ... hooray!

We are seasoned concert-goers. I have a rolling collapsible cooler that carries our dinner, blankets, reading material, etc. A beach umbrella (it can be really sunny here ... LOL!) My chair. Ground cover.

Sargeant knows when I get ready to start packing that it is concert time. Oh, does he dance around!

He is quite the attraction. Lots of folks come up and ask to pet him. With the kids, I use him to educate them on approaching dogs.

Last night was, suprise, cold. I had Sargeant wrapped in a blanket, head laying back over the arm of the chair, belly being rubbed. Doggie nirvana for sure.

Chip dancing

Last nite at the dog park, this little Italian grayhound kept following him around. She just loved Chip. They got up to box but never made it. They were dancing. Got everyone laughing. And they kept doing it. Thats my boy
