Long weekend winding down.
What did you do with your weekend?
The parade and the festivites here are held within blocks of the house. Can see the firworks from the front porch and hear the music. BBQ, family and a relaxing weekend here.

Grandson and Baseball
Well, anyway baseball season is about over for my grandson’s little league team. Last week was the last games and this week is the tournaments. We thought we would lose again Monday since we have been losing every game lately. But no WE WON so of course that means we have to play again on Wednesday. Kind of another thing added to a busy week of finishing off packing and other things for the move next week.
Plus my grandson D was the pitcher and ended up striking out 13 out of 20 batters. At one point he had 8 in a row struck out too. And he is only nine years old, will be ten tomorrow. He will not be able to pitch the next game because of the rules of only so many pitches or innings whatever……
Blessings.

Good morning, sorry for my lack of posting...I was gone last week We biked across lower Michgian. 288 miles, tented with my 2 sisters and 750 other people..lol quite cozy!!... We had a good time.
June was a busy, crazy kind of Month. I lost my cousin suddenly from a brain bleed June 4th, and we honored him in the traditional way with drum and song. I felt honored to play flute for him. I played to the Pines that surrounded our area, as I know that is where he is right now.
June also a month of going forward for our many graduates. A major milestone of leaving behind the child and moving forward into the man or woman we have help develop them to be. I have three in my life plus their parties alot of coming and going and celebrating.
My sister also came home from Vancouver to ride with us in our week long bike ride across Michigan. While we were gone, my father was dx: with chronic Leukemia. while we are all trying to get use to this new turn in our lives, my Dad says "what are you going to do"!!...great attitude...just do it... no looking back, but forward.
So I look forward to July, maybe a time of reflection of all that has happened in this month we are just leaving a time to be thankfull for my Dad and pray that his struggle with this new event will be a little one. I look forward to watching all of the graduates move forward onto their goals. I look forward to growing because of all these events
looking forward :)

Are part of the solution?
Plastic bags are part of the problem. They blow all over. Birds get stuck in them; sea turtles mistake floating ones for jellyfish and ingest them; they float up on our beaches; they just ain't any good.
Do you take reusable cloth bags with you to the grocery store? Do you return with your own paper sacks when you grocery shop?
I was at Wal-Mart last night and they use plastic exclusively. I will continue to shop at Wal-Mart, but I will take my cloth boat bag there when I shop.
What are you ideas?

Good Morning Midwest
Good morning all! It is a beautiful morning in Northeast Missouri. For many of us who work it's a short week....guess today is hump day this week. And we have a great Independence Day weekend ahead. Have a good day!
