How many believe that there is cultural diversity of sexuality based on race, creed or nationality? Do you think certain ideals, feelings and actions are part of that cultural diversity?

Our differences are intriguing
As an African American woman, I think that it's safe to say that when speaking of interrracial relationships, our differences can be intriguing. I have thick curly hair, brown eyes and full lips. A man who has blond hair, blue eyes, straight hair and smaller lips may be as fascinated with those physical characteristics of mine as I am with his.
And you know what, that's A-OK!!! Variety is the spice of life, and I love the fact that this big 'ol world of ours consists of such a beautiful kaleidoscope of human beings.
But, as always, what's most important is what lies in one's heart and soul.

This might sound crazy..but oh, well.
Sometimes while sitting alone I will think to myself..what color do I feel? I mean, while I am inside this body and cannot see a reflection of me, do I feel black? No, I don't feel a color, I just feel like me.
Now don't laugh..cause a man was sitting under an apple tree and one fell and hit him in the head and he discovered the laws of gravity. If he hadn't wondered about that apple hitting him in his head, a lot of theories would not have been figured out!

When I fell in love
Many times it was with someone outside my race, but I have a hard time defining race as i always think that there are only two types of races..the Human Race and the Animal Kingdom. Nothingmore and nothing less. You are either one or the other. Color is not definitive of who we are. I will admit that there is a difference in our cultural upbringing. There are things that my family adhered to as a culture not a color.
But falling in love cannot be set by the boundaries of color, race, creed, etc. Love should know only one color; the color of the heart.

Chicago, Chicago...a melting pot
Just thought I'd share an interesting observation with all of you today.
I am not proud of my hometown being classified as one of the most segregated cities in America, despite probably being one of the most diverse ethnically.
However, I am noticing more and more interracial couples - notably black and white - and not just black men and white women, but white men and black women also. Personally, I think it's really cool.
I started dating outside my race in the '70s, so I suppose I was a teeny bit of a maverick back then. So, I can't help but smile when I receive PMs from men asking if their being white is a problem. Not with this Diva.
After, all, as this group name says, LOVE HAS NO COLOR...

Isn't it funny...
How Americans view things.....we are separated in to two categories Black or White there is no in between. Al-though the difference in skin tone and nationality is clearly visible it is not taken into consideration unless you check the "other" box.
I am back... here in Indiana. It's been 10 long years since my last visit to this city....Indianapolis. As I looked around at the growth explosion that has transpired here I can't help but notice the diversity. On almost every stop we made at gas station I am greeted by different nationalities I encounter very few Americans running small business. In the back of mind I think "where are the White people? this use to be an all white neighborhood" The face of our country is changing once again. I think it's wonderful that areas are opening up to ALL. As always the people who can't deal with change run for the hills. It makes me smile. One day there will be no room to run and try and hide. We'll all have to live in peace and harmony. Of course we probably won't live to see it BUT I know it is inevitable. Don't think me naive....I know that there will always be resistors but there numbers will be few.
This is a great time for our country with the nomination of Obama I truly believe that we have finally turned a corner in our great nation!!

Sorry I haven't been around
My mother has crossed over. It has been a really hard time for my siblings...I am the oldest so you know the story. I am headed to Maine for the summer. I leave here (Indiana) 2morrow. Once I get there I will be checking in daily.
