So many lighthouses to visit and so little time. I'm sure high fuel prices and the slow economy will discourage some planned trips, but for those of us who will visit at least 1 lighthouse this summer, we would love to hear all about it see your pix ...

Hello

I am very excited to join this group and really enjoy your beautiful pictures! I live in Alaska now and have only seen one lighthouse here, on the Kenai Peninsula. Joining this group will get me motivated to get out my photos and share them. I'm really looking forward to moving to North Carolina in a couple of years and one our first trips will be to the Outer Banks to see the lighthouses!

East Quoddy Light

Just returned from a trip to Maine. While I was there I crossed over to Campobello Island, New Brunswick. This picture was taken while I was on a whale watching tour.

Maintenance and upkeep of the buildings stretching from Cape Reinga to Foveaux Strait's Dog Island is now paid for by ship and ferry owners.

Marblehead Peninsula Lighthouse Festival

Saturday, October 11 2008, 10:00am - 6:00pm

13th Annual Lighthouse Festival will be held in Lakeside, Ohio at Wesley Lodge from 10AM to 6PM. Vendors will be displaying quality arts, crafts and collectibles. Delicious handmade food and desserts will be available for sale. We will be having FREE Lighthouse tours starting at 10AM. The Wolcott House (the original Lighthouse Keeper's House) located at 9999 E. Bayshore Road will hold an open house.
