Let's go!

Single, over 55, men and women who want to travel the world but not alone! Thinking of tango in South America; fests and colors of the southern part of India, bask in Tahiti, see the wonders of China, castles in Europe, rent a villa in Tuscany and events in USA together! Make new friends and keep from getting old, in spirit at least!!

SW France for small groups

If 4-6 of you would like to go taste delicious Bordeaux wines, see medieval castles & villages, prehistoric cave drawings, stay in beautiful French homes, eat great food and more... I can design a tour to fit your groups interests. Check out my profile for website info, or send a private message.
Get a group together, and I can set up a fully guided, reasonably priced tour for you in Spring or Fall.

Looking for a couple of traveling companions

Hi,

Looking for some travel companions for a nine night trip to the East coast. I am on the West Coast but can have anyone join us.

Arriving in NYC on Oct. 16th in the am, visiting all the tourist spots, a broadway show, restaurants, Sex & the City tour, Ground Zero and everything I can see in 3 days.

Then to Cape Cod - I have never been there and would love to check out the coastline, visit the small villages, cities and the Atlantic. 3 nights there in a summer home on a bay.

Last 3 nights in Boston seeing the sights, historical and enjoying the area. Going home on the 25th or 26th

Anyone want to join me and a couple of girlfriends, let me know.

Have a great week.

Nancy in So Ca.

Rafting Desolation Canyon

Nope, it is not a cowboy movie!! lol

A friend and I have a permit to run (float) the Green River through Desolation and Greys Canyon in Utah. We put-in on September 22 and spend about 5-6 days on the river floating, check out the scenery and sites, eat very well at camp, and just have a grand ol' time.

The stretch of the river is very easy and forgiving. It is basically a Class II or II+ run.

We have room on the permit for 4+ more interested people.

If you are a novice to running a river, here is your chance. You can ride with me and I will teach you how to row a raft, read the water, swat mosquitos, and cook over a open flame. lol

If you are an experienced rafter or kayaker, you are more than welcome to join us.

No, we are not hurting for people to go. It is just that a group of others were to go on our permit but bailed on us because it is Desolation Canyon after all. Granted the river is calm, but September is a good time of the year (usually) in the corridor. Winds should be nominal and all the mosquitos are dead or waiting to die. lol

Anyway, if you are interested, just post a note to my in-box here and I will get back to you with the details and logistics.

Hope to hear from ya'.

so...let's GO!

Hi, I am looking for groups to travel with; not looking for romance, but for travel companions who are fun and compatible. Is this a group in which folks suggest a date and destination and see who's on board?

New Kid on the Block

Just found this group through a friend. I'm widowed, unattached, and love to travel!
I'll end this post with one of my favorite quotes:
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover". -- Mark Twain

Newbie checks in!

Great to find like minds here! I look forward to sharing experiences with you all. Travel has always been a passion but I couldn't afford to cross the "big pond" until recently. In the past four years I've been to Europe three times so I suppose I have begun to follow my wandering spirit. There's a long list of places I'd love to see so I hope to hear of your experiences...good and bad!

Quest for a Boomer Friendly Place

I’m about to do quite a bit of business travel and, as a Boomer, I’d love to be able to go a Boomer friendly place where I will find a staff that is always neat, courteous, respectful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Ideally, I’d like great food – from old favorites and 'comfort food', to trendy and exotic – maybe even some "Diet" offerings – all made from scratch, chemical additive free, and moderately priced. And, it would be really cool if they also had some fun activities. Basically I’m looking for very friendly, inviting places to eat and drink AND have fun. What’s available like this in your area? Thanks for valuable, usable information!!!
