Kidneys and Diaylsis
This group is for patients of ESRD who are either on Hemo-diaylsis or Peritoneal Diaylsis. And would like the support of others going thru the same thing. Can share diet tips, and other meaniful things. Also any Transplant Patients that would like to share their story, are also welcome!

First Year
This is my first year on diaylsis. It's not as bad as I thought. I go three times a week, (Mon,Wed & Fri)6am - 9am. I see people every day who ask if I am on a waiting list for a kidney. I have not been evaluated yet as I have no major medical insurance. There are people in my unit that have been on diaylsis up to eight years and still going strong. My day will come soon.
going through dialysis
3 days a week for 4 hours at 6 am i get hooked up to a machine and it has been that way for 3 years now. I have had a lot of trouble with my access, i think because i was using clamps at the end of treatment and that crushed it. and i am unable to hold a blood pressure above 100/70. But all in all i can think of far worst things to be spending my time doing. I go to a great clinic with a great staff and some really good clients. Some days are better that others but it's alright.
HemoDiaylsis
