Mugsy's Photo
Hey critters! That's our very own Mugsy in the Photos section of the Eons front page today (July 5)! Our momma is manager of the PUGLOVERS group, and Mugsy's picture is the link to the PUGLOVERS photo album from the Eons front page. Nice coincidence that Mugsy is receiving this honor.
Dropped Food
My dear Critter friends, I am taking a survey. When our humans drop food on the floor what do we do?
A. Eat It
B. Just Leave It There
I always go with A. Well, yesterday was a Holiday Right? And what do humans do on Holidays? They eat outdoors and drop food all over the place. I'm a Dog, what do I do? I EAT the food.
So now my name is Euuuuuuuuuu Disgusting. Ring a bell? I think I've been called Disgusting in the past.
Well, I ate the food, they didn't see me. What was I to do, leave it for the Rabbits or Birds? No, it was mine Right?
So today I have a tummy ache, and what do we critters do when we have a tummy ache? Yes, we kind of throw up or spit up or whatever you wanna call it.
Did I tell Mom to start doing her exercises on the Rug without looking where she was laying. You should have seen her, I never saw her jump up so fast. Then she looks at me, looks at the rug, smells her arm and various other parts of her body and she goes Euuuuuuuuuuuuuuu and she calls me Disgusting. My own Mom calling me Disgusting. I have feelings you know. It was HER food, she and the other humans dropped the food yesterday, she was the one laying on the floor tonight.
I can't reach the toilet, where else should I put this stuff that my tummy doesn't like? She will never learn. She can't drop food and if she is gonna drop food she has to look where she is walking and laying the next day.
My feelings are hurt, I'm going to go and pout in the corner. AND you know what, I didn't leave it on her pillow did I? Sure could have been a lot worse.
Thanks for listening I know you all understand. HUMANS!!!!!

Mugsy
Hello, my little critters. The news is sad today. Our buddy Mugsy has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Frankie checked on him at 7AM and he was resting comfortabley and she went on a call and while she was gone the angels came and took Mugsy home with them. Mugsy would want all you little critters to remember him with smiles and laughter. Nobody liked having a happy time better than "The Dude." Please make Mama Helen laugh, especially today. She needs to know that all of you are remembering the good times that you and Mugsy had together. Hugs, kisses and many blessing to all you kids. Your prayers made it easier for all of us to get through this very sad and trying time. Elly for Mama Helen and the "Brood"
Popcorn and things that go boom
Hi guys! Anybody hearing strange noises tonight? I keep hearing what sounds like popcorn (yummmm) but don't smell it and Mom isn't eating any. Where can it be coming from? Sounds like someone has been making it all day but they must be making a lot now because it's popping a LOT now!
And there are Booms! Sort of sounds like Garbage Day when the garbage cans are emptied... Mom doesn't seem concerned though and I take my cues from her!
Cady is on her lap though making funny ears. I don't think she likes the popcorn noises...
Anyhow I hope everyone is doing ok.
Bye for now!

RATS R BACK!!
Boy oh boy did I get Dad's attention YESTERDAY!!! I brought him a really nice present and he goes running after me yelling like crazy. Mom told him to quit chasing me! and I'd drop the present,so we could look at it. Go Mom! She knows cats.
He was a handsome "rat". Mom tells Dad to cal them mice,it sounds better.
I catch them outside in the bushes. Mom put out rat food, when I first found them.
FOOD!! Why does she feed them if she doesn't want them???? Humans!
Anyway, she took the gift from me. Went right up to the feed store for more rat food! DUH!,I mean MEOW??? She bought a double does this time and put it all under the bushes.
I herd her tell Dad,this morning, that one of the food bars was gone. Guess the rats like them.
I wanted Mom to take a picture of the gift, but Dad wasn't really into picture taking right then.
Well, that was our excitement for yesterday. I am no long allowed to roam again..and the humans, check my mouth for gifts if I do happen to get out for even a minute.

A Nice Birthday
Thanks to all my critter friends for their happy birthday wishes! I am having a very
nice birthday. Mom put me out on the porch in my stroller at about 8 this morning
and I stayed out for an hour before I called her to bring me inside. When I came in
I did a thorough patrol of the house, had a snack and a drink of water and said
good morning to Grandma then I asked Mom to put me outside again and she said
yes. The sun was already getting hot so Mom rolled down the awning and parked
me under it. It was nice and cool in the shade and I watched the birds for awhile
before I came inside for a nice long nap.
Since I won’t eat anything but kibble, Mom’s not making me anything special to
eat today. I don’t like people food and don’t even like canned cat food though I
will - very rarely - lick a tiny bit of tuna oil drained from the canned tuna Mom
and Grandma eat. For lunch I did get a special treat. Mom made omelettes for
herself and Grandma. When she makes omelettes she slices up green olives to
put in the eggs and today she gave me a whole stuffed olive. I pretended it was
prey and smacked, chased and finally pounced on and disemboweled it. (Well,
the pimento did look a little like guts.) That was so much fun! I nibbled a little
bit of the olive; what a strange tasting thing it was. Anyway, chasing that bugger
made me tired so I took another nap. Mom must have thrown it out while I was
sleeping cuz it was nowhere to be found when I woke up. That was okay; Mom
played “go get it” with me. She coils up a piece of nylon rope and throws it and
I run and bring it back to her. Then she holds the rope, wiggles it in the air or
drags it on the floor while I jump, pounce and try to snag it away from her. When
I do, she’ll take it back, coil it and throw it again. Of course, I had to go take
another nap after that!
I can’t wait for the fireworks tonight! I’m not afraid of loud noises and I like the
pretty colors. I also like to sit at a window and watch the lightning while the
thunder booms. My late “brother” always hid under Grandma’s bed when there
was a thunder storm. He was such a funny boy. I DO miss him though. I guess
Mugsy’s death is making me think of Junie. He acted a lot like a dog so maybe he
and “the dude” are hanging together now. I think they’d get along really well.
Junie liked to play run-and-hide then he’d jump out when Mama found him and
he’d pretend to run away only he’d run slow so he didn’t get too far ahead of her
so she could see where he went to hide. He also liked guitar music and used to sit
and watch Mama play her guitar.
Well, I’m gonna see if my mom will let me out in my stroller so I can watch the
sunset. Then we’ll watch the fireworks together or at least what we can see of
them from this part of town.
See ya!

Mugsy's Last PM To Me
My little Dude sent me a PM after the party last week, seems just like yesterday. I sent him a slice of Pizza as a gift because he had to leave the party early, Denny had a surprise for them and I thought the Dude might still be hungry, didn't want him to loose his Pudgy Little body.
