Less music for me

Today makes 1 year since my younger brother died ( Arnold April 1, 1942 - July 8, 2007 ) and I've had less music in my life. He learned to play guitar when he was 8 years old. He sang beautifully and knew all Merle Haggards songs!! Together, we sang at church, home, in public or anywhere we might be together. Why didn't I record more of his singing? My son, who also plays, has his Gibson guitar signed by Merele in a glass front display case made especially for holding the guitar.

Glad to have had those 55 years of music, Dorelle

Good morning everyone!

For though the LORD is high,
he regards the lowly;
but the haughty he knows from afar.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
thou dost preserve my life;
thou dost stretch out thy hand
against the wrath of my enemies,
and thy right hand delivers me.

The LORD will fulfil his purpose for me;
thy steadfast love, O LORD,
endures for ever.
Do not forsake the work of thy hands.

Psalm 138:6-8 RSV

Hi again!

You've probably seen this before, but maybe not in awhile!

Everything I need to know about life, I learned from Noah's Ark…..

ONE:
Don't miss the boat.
TWO:
Remember that we are all in the same boat.
THREE:
Plan ahead.It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
FOUR:
Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
FIVE:
Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
SIX:
Build your future on high ground.
SEVEN:
For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
EIGHT:
Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
NINE:
When you're stressed, float a while.
TEN:
Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
ELEVEN:
No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.

Good afternoon!

Hi everyone--been away for a few days visiting a girlfriend--came home Saturday but was too tired to do anything, and it was so humid! Sunday -- morning service and visiting another church in the afternoon. Just trying to catch up!

Debirae, so sorry to here about your father-in-law. My prayers are with you and yours, as I see many of the members were too. I can see, too, by some of your words that your faith is your stronghold!

Everyone have a blessed day!
