Hi. I like to decorate and change things around inside and outside of my home...OFTEN.

~ ENTERTAING PLANS ? ? ~

When was the last time you entertained in your home?...Was it large or small?...Catered or Do it yourself?...When is the best time for you to entertain? (Summer/Winter/Spring/Fall)...Did you enjoy it?...Please share!!
The last time I entertained was last September, I hosted a get together for my friends (we worked together for 15 yrs)..It was small, 4 of us..we had a casual dinner and drinks (wine & soda) and desert, talked about the good ol' days..took pictures and had a wonderful time catching up on each other...How about yours??

Drop By Anytime or Make an Appt

Is your home decorated so that friends can drop by anytime, or do they need to call before they show up so you can make your place picture perfect?
For me, friends can drop by unannounced anytime. I'm of the opinion that if you're coming to see me, fine. Come on over. But if you're coming to see my house, make an appt.

Window Quilts

Hi, I'm so glad to find this group!

I'm working up my courage to re-upholster my 'crate furniture" couch and put up roman blinds. I was so discouraged that Penny's charges 200$ a blind and they weren't even thermal. When I went to the fabric store I discovered 'Window Quilts" It isn't my first time re-upholstering a couch. So I think I might be able to make a truly warm thermal Roman shade that matches my couch.

They make all kinds of hardware to go with the quilt. It looks like you can almost iron it together.

Hi

Good morning, so glad to find this group. I have been having fun decorating and redecorating my houses for every since I can remember. I too have changed it every few months but I do find when getting older I do not do it as much as I used to. That said I still collect articles and pictures of interior decorating for that some day when I have a dream home. However I know in my heart it would take a house bigger than several McMansions to do all the stuff I have collected. I now go thru my boxes of ideas and cull out the no longer want or need stuff. That still leaves me several boxes of magazine clippings. LOL. I have downsized from big grand homes to small simple cottages and I love the look of them. The cozy and simple are my true loves now. Shabby Chic reigns supreme. I love flea markets, garage sales and new ways to use old stuff. I just love stuff. I never understood why anyone would want to hire a professional when doing it yourself was so much fun. Again I am happy to be here and look forward to chating with other home lovers )

I finally found my camera

I am trying to figure out how to send pictures to groups, but with my usual adaptness am failing miserably. I finally found my camera and have gotten close to finishing my room. I have one picture on my home page, but cannot figure out how to get it here.

PS I used a majority of your suggestions and have thoroughly enjoyed my room. My grand daughter loves it and wants to have picnics up here every time she comes over. Thank you all so much. I just found my camera today and will as soon as I can figure out how post them to you.
