Now more than ever, personally and globally, I think we need to cluster, share and care for each other.

Interest in community

Hi,
I've been interested in the concept of intentional communities for quite some time. I was exploring the website www.ic.org right before logging onto EONS. I was thinking about starting a group when I discovered yours. Although I have lived communally in the past and presently rent out a few rooms in my house in Oregon, intentional communities seem very appealing to me. I believe in organic gardening and alternative energy. I also feel in this fast paced world, it is refreshing to know that there are people who believe in working and creating community where individuals genuinely care for one another.

Arcosanti

Thanks for the reply Calicoleah, Arcosanti is a place I had heard about a long time ago, when I finally had the chance to visit there, it was out of their busy season. The buildings and the siltcasting method they use is interesting and life there is very simple, reminding me of the commune I lived in, but without the open spiritual element that was our focus, more of a natural focus.
