REFLECTIONS ON 1 YEAR!
Today, July 8th, is my one year anniversary on EONS. I've joined lots of groups, deleated a few, and made some really good friends.
I want to thank everyone for your kindness, friendships, and putting up with me. I want to apologise if I've ever offended anyone, and I assure you, I never intended to offend.
At this stage of life, happiness, comfort, true - real friends, Peace, and Love is all that I seek and want. Just the basics. I want all in this group to know, that being a member, has been an honor, has given me so much of what I seek.
Who would have believed in the 60's, that a bunch of HIPPIES, would have computers, and being able to join each other everyday like we do today? Thank you everyone! PEACE and LOVE, Nolen

well, my pick up decided to not start at all today up by my horse pasture. so randall, the mechanic, sent a guy to get it down to the station. in the mean time the gal who works for the older man i rent pasture from and i hauled the hay that was baled out of the field and figured out the problem she was having with the hydrolics on the tractor she was using to run the mower. hey we were so proud of ourselves, 2 girls and we did it with out any guys helping. so now she can cut and bale the rest of the hay and we will be able to get it in th e barn. plus they are going to sell me hay for only $100/ton(norm now is over $200) and it's right there, i don't have to haul it from 50 or 60 miles away. good thing i can still drive a tractor. stay high.
For all of you connoisseurs of a fine
high quality beverage, here's one for ya
Dandelion Wine
Place a qt jar of blossoms (firmly packed) into a 4 or 5 gallon crock. (BE SURE TO REMOVE ALL STEMS).
Bring to a good boil (as opposed to a bad one?)
5lbs sugar in 2 gal. water. Add the white of one egg, beaten stiff. Cover and boil for 2 minutes then skim.
remove from stove and pour on blossoms.
When cool add one yeast cake, crumbled and slice in a lemon, seeded
Store in cellar or a cool dark place. Stir every day for 7 days. Strain into one gallon jugs and add 2 lbs of seedless raisins, divided evenly.
Cover with a cap or cork loosely.
After a month or more siphon into bottles. The longer the raisins are left in the better the flavor.
I tasted this. it is the driest thing on the planet. it also led to some arrests and questionable behavior (the parking meter thrown at the police while speeding down the highway comes to mind) on the part of participants in the celebratory drinking of the wine when it was ready.
Just thought some folks might like a dry wine or whine if you get carried away and arrested.

I've got less than 2 weeks until graduation, but I have to come up with the money to pay my graduation fee....
