On a recent episode of Eureka, a Sci-Fi channel series, nerdy guys in a super secret government lab were seen using fancy video conferencing gear with “CISCO” emblazoned all over it. (A paid product placement, but supposedly you are too dumb to know this.) HD LCD TV

I want to buy a cheap HD LCD TV but I do not want those generic brands. Is Toshiba a better buy than samsung? I do not have that cash to buy a sony. I do not like plasma either. Any advice?

IPODS

My kids want me to purchase an IPOD. I have a portable CD player, but they say it is out of date. I want some advice as to what to look for how much cost is involved etc.
I am told that I can go on line and download songs. I guess I have lived under a rock for sometime now because I have been happy with my player.

If anyone can give me assistance I would greatly appreciate it. I have asked my kids but the answeres I get are way over my head. I just want to know what to look for for my needs. They say they will buy it but I am the one who has to understand it.

Hi everyone,
I just joined the group and wanted to introduce myself. I probably fell in love with gadgets when I got my first cellphone - anyone remember the Motorola MicroTac from maybe 17 years ago? I wouldn't have guessed then that I'd one day start a business publishing audio short stories for downloading to mobile phones, iPods, etc., but, I just did! Is life great or what? byams

got it yesterday it came with some books and sections already on it. I can get 100 free classics until the end of October I bought one book at the e store for $7 and downloaded 3 free classics
