Start 'Enjoying Digital Photography' Now

This group is all about getting the most of your digital photography experience. Not only will we share and enjoy each others images, but learn and grow from the experience.

Make sure you put information about your photo in the first comment of the Gallery, where shot, lens used, settings etc. along with this, AND THIS IS NEW!!! If you would like an honest critique of your work by Manager and Members, please put the letter code 'PC' after your photo information for 'Please Critique'.

Those that don't want the full honest opinion with constructive Critique don't have to put the code in. This is strictly a learning tool.

If you have questions, please ask. If you have suggestions, please post them.

Now let's start 'Enjoying Digital Photography'

Photo Category May 14-22 - Transportation

Let's get out there and capture some images of different modes of transportation. It doesn't have to be just planes, trains, and automobiles. Make it interesting. A photo of a car or bike doesn't have to include the entire subject. Get creative! Interesting hub cab on that car? Shoot it! Let's see how many different types of transportation we can find. Now go for it!

Free Photoshop book

The Photoshop Anthology: 101 Web Design Tips, Tricks & Techniques

I can't speak to the quality of the book, but evidently this offer is sponsored by an organization that's trying to drum up business. It also looks like it might be more oriented towards web design than photo manipulation, but I leave that up to you to decide :)

They do ask for an email - but I have a solution for that - GetOneEmail (www.getonemail.com/index.php). It gives you an email address to use and once you get the email (you have to wait for it to arrive on that site) that address goes away.

It's a PDF download: view link

A slow rainy day at the shop

Nobody was out and about today, but I took my camera in
with me to the shop for a little practice. Plenty of
material! A couple of examples in the first reply.

Playing with Macro and Light

Photobucket

This is an antique doll I was photographing for a photo project I am working on. I played with the lighting coming from a window and used my macro lens to get this image.
