Losing weight anyone? I'm on that path too.
I am working out at the gym and bought more weights to work out at home. I am leaning new recipies to replace junk food, hope that helps. I'm working full time with overtime, so not too much time for food prep, but it is worth the effort to prepare food at home.

Hi, I was vegan/vegetarian on an off for over 30 years. But with 6 kids and a very meat eating husband it didn't last long. Then I got colon cancer. After treatment my doctor gave me my new diet - VEGAN! I took the FREE Cancer Project Cooking Classes developed by Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Here's the link view link I learned about how nutrition interacts with health and absolutely LOVED IT! Now we have monthly potlucks and everyone brings their recipe. How Are You Doing?
OK - I realized last night that it's been 2 months since I joined weight watchers, and 2 months since I've become a vegan.
I began WW at 162 pounds and am down to 150. Feels good, but my goal is 125-130 (I figure that's a good range for my body style).
I'm walking ALMOST daily for 1 hour - I have long legs and keep up a pretty good pace. There are other friends of mine who occasionally join me - we meet at the local high school track at the same time every day.
I'm really having to watch my fat intake - and alcohol - and calorie heavy foods. I'm trying to stay with lots of fruits and veggies, and whole grains. I was REALLY disappointed to find I had gained a pound this last week - I plan on losing it and a couple more next week. LOTS of water, sometimes different exercise (I also do yoga - sporadically).
How are YOU doing? We can do this together!!!

Hard times - lately
I have been a (mostly) vegan for many years. I have, just recently, started gaining weight and not being able to take it off. I'm getting really frustrated and anxious. I could sure use some help and encouragement.
