I've always enjoyed bike riding and have lead myself to believe I've an up-to-date cycling machine. Alas, the 'practice' hasn't always been regular and perfect.
I'm concerned with a crotch irritation, specifically the linear fold area between inner legs and truck, the groin. No I'm not wearing 'whitey-tighties', but spandex biking shorts; also I've the standard issue saddle seat. Once I had thought of ordering the newer dual pads seat.
Beside an over-supply/application of vaseline, anyone have a constructive suggestion?

I am avid cyclist who just discovered this group. I am currently a B/B+ rider with a strong desire to become an A-/A rider by the end of the year.
I ride every weekend (can't get out during the week due to work) ande have about 1000 miles under my belft for this year.

Looking for a same sex rider who might be interested in riding the length of the New York State Erie Canal in Summer '08.
This ride is 400 miles (mostly along the canal path and out of traffic) to be covered in 8-10 days with overnights being a mix of camping, motels or B&B's.

Who's going to this year's Amgen Tour of Cali?
The teams were just released yesterday and it looks like its going to be another year of great competition. I wonder who will win this year? Could it be Levi w/his new team, Astana or will Team CSC prevail? Can't wait to find out!

Any bike-to-work commuters?
I have been commuting to work for 12 years and love it. Although I have been hit by cars 3 times, my eagerness to start the day on a bike has not diminished. It is great exercise, good for the environment, and a lot cheaper than driving. I ride in a suburban area and have the priviledge of using a bike trail for most of my ride.
