Welcome to the Classic Rock Group !!
Hello -- thanks for stopping by...
Turn up your speakers and get ready to hear some of the greatest music that was ever recorded.
The term "classic rock" can mean different things to different people, and we are not rigid in the way it is interpreted -- for some it may mean Buddy Holly, Bill Haley, The Coasters...for others, it's the Beatles, Paul Revere and the Raiders, the Mamas and the Papas ...still others lean towards the "harder" stuff, like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd...or the "quieter", more mellow music of Joni Mitchell, Neil Diamond, Peter Paul & Mary...
and I haven't even scratched the surface -- there's country rock, southern rock, motown, soul, 60s and 70s pop, even disco...the list is endless really....
We love it all here -- as long as it's "classic", and it has a melody line of some sort (which leaves out the real screamer metal and rap crap), we love it --
Please note that we usually have so many active discussions going on at one time that it would be impossible to contain them all on the front page -- so please be sure to check back to page 2 or even page 3 for current threads that are still fresh -- or feel free to dig back as far as you want and post in any thread -- we would love a chance to re-visit some of the past topics too!
So pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable, or get up and dance, or sing along -- whatever you like -- just have fun -- and let's rock !!

Game/ Song Title Chain -- Part 2
The original thread is out of commission, and I am going into withdrawal not being about to post in it LOLOL
So I am starting a new one -- I'll pick it up where we left off.
First, to review for anyone who is new isn't familiar and is new to the game, I will copy and paste the instructions from the old one:
---------------------------------------- ------------------
I want this to be a place to check-in, say hello, and advance the game.
1.I will list 2 song titles that when connected make an interesting or unusual statement.
2. The 2nd person uses my 2nd title and hooks a new title to it.
3. A title chain is created in this way.
*Feel free to include the name of the singer, trivia, memories, or feelings about the song.
Let's have fun.
---------------------------------------- ------
OK, let's get started -- hope this one takes off like the other one....

Does this ever happen to you?
A song pops into your head and you know this is something you loved to listen to years ago. You played the record so many times you wore it out. Maybe you can't even remember the name of it or the band that recorded it anymore. Most of mine are from the seventies but I'm sure some of you have songs from different time periods.
Songs of Triumph
I looked for this to have been posted already but didn't see anything unless I missed it. How about songs of overcoming and coming out on top?
I'll kick it off with
