Just a minute I've got, cuz we're packing up and moving on.
Hubby took a position that is moving us to Denver, CO area. So if anyone has suggestions, ideas, or just something to tell please do so. I've been many places but not Denver. Presently, house hunting which has totally consumed my days. I will be visiting the first of next week and our movers will be here in 1 month. OH MY GOSH!!! less than 30 days to do all I have to do.
I returned a week ago Sunday after being in FL for 2 months. Great time, except for the last week. Didn't see the sun and was a little hairy there for awhile.
Grandchildren are/where doing great until grammie left, now their all sad calling and asking how soon am I coming back. It will only be a short time as I am scheduled to return there the end of Oct for 2 weeks. My daughter is running the NY marathon and the last thing she wants is the children in NY with an extra 1million people. Kinda of a get away for her and hubby.
Did get home in time to see my wonderful tomato plants OH MY GOSH!! and I am not canning them. We'll have tomatoes for at least months. OH soooo good.
My father is doing well, thanks for your prayers. Mother says he is back to his ole self.
Any way look forward to hearing from you'all.

My Summer highlight....
...was taking my kids to San Francisco for the day...
We took the Larkspur ferry, passing San Quentin, on the way. Great views of Angel Island, Alcatraz, and Golden Gate Bridge.
Took in a Giants / Braves game and then hiked over to Ghirardelli Square for chocolate milkshakes. Finished the visit with dinner at Bubba Gumps on Pier 39.
Great way to spend the day!

Did you all go to Maine for the summer? Nobody seems to be around but me and JT!
If any of you are back, tell us about the highlights of your summer.
Mine is, last Saturday on my birthday we went to the wine country in Temecula. At Calaway vineyards we sat in their outdoor restaurant and sampled tapas and drank wine and laughed and enjoyed the scenery. Life is good among the vines.

Looking for some travel companions from CA
Hi,
Looking for some travel companions for a nine night trip to the East coast. I am on the West Coast but can have anyone join us.
Arriving in NYC on Oct. 16th in the am, visiting all the tourist spots, a broadway show, restaurants, Sex & the City tour, Ground Zero and everything I can see in 3 days.
Then to Cape Cod - I have never been there and would love to check out the coastline, visit the small villages, cities and the Atlantic. 3 nights there in a summer home on a bay.
Last 3 nights in Boston seeing the sights, historical and enjoying the area. Going home on Oct. 25th or 26th.
Anyone want to join me and a couple of girlfriends, let me know.

My best--Wally's in Palm Springs. Cha-ching, break out the wallet but lordy it's worth it.
My worse--La Vie En Rose in Brea. They charge an arm and a leg, the food is mediocre and the service is worse.

In my case it was a street concert at our Wednesday Nite Market. Marc Antoine and Slim Man played some great smooth jazz music for the crowd....
