If you have little or no experience working with banners please take a moment to review the FAQ's(frequently asked questions) and Help files first. Click on "Files" at the top of the page to view. Help please.....
Issues with Loading a Banner?
I followed all the directions.
Uploaded my image to my profile photo section --974 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall; went to “Edit my current skin”. Downloaded the url, set ‘no-repeat’ and position ‘center center,’
hit preview, it looked fine so I hit Save Skin.
I keep getting an Error message:
“There were problems with the following fields:
* Banner url is not a valid image url”
This is the URL I am using.
What am I doing wrong??? I know it's me........lol

As of today's update (6/10/08), you can upload ...
As of today's update (6/10/08), you can upload a full-size banner image to Eons and then select the image from within the Skin Editor. I will now prove it by uploading a new banner: view link :-)

Profile Photos bugs
This was posted in the HTML Workshop Group...
Photo reordering is currently not working in the special "Profile Photos" album. With tomorrow morning's release (June 10), many bugs will be fixed, including the "Add" link on the Profile page.

Heads up on 6/2!!
If you thought the new Photo features were fun in your Profile, get ready to do the same in your Groups and see even more in your Profile!! This is a heads up to let you and your Group members know the new features.
Tomorrow you will see:
In your Profile
-A new view in Profile photos of “View all Photos”
-Group albums of groups to which you contributed photos
In your Groups
-Groups will also have a "View all Photos" so you can organize photos from here (when you see it tomorrow, you won't see the member screen name or comments, but that's coming on Thursday!)
--In Group photos, you’ll have the ability to add photos from either your Profile or your computer to groups
--When you drag photos to albums, they will be “copied” and not “moved”
I've already started organizing our group photos into albums. If you have any thoughts or suggestions for improvements please share them..

HELP
I have tried irfanview wont work with windows vista or on my computer something wont let it work. I want to do some racing type (nascar) banners. Can someone help me. I want a banner with multiple images.
Ready To Use Banners
If you dont want to go to the trouble of making your own custom banner I've added a few ready to use generic "Welcome To My Page" ones you can use. They are all correctly sized(974x100) and have been tested to make sure the work. To add one of these to your skin follow these instructions:
1. Left click once on the banner here you want to use and a new window will open.
2. Put your cursor over the image and right click once then click on "properties". The Properties Box will open.
3. Highlight and copy the Address URL. It will look something like this(without the ++'s)
++http://www.eons.com/images/members/0/ 9/09069289_o.jpeg++ Be sure you copy ALL of the URL beginning with the http and ending with the jpeg.
4. Open your profile page, click on "Change My Skin" then click on the "Edit" link under your current profile skin view.
5. Click on the "Banner" tab and paste the URL you copied into the blank box that says: "Choose a photo you've uploaded to Eons or paste the location (URL) of an image"
6. Click on preview to view your new banner and if you are satisfied click on save changes and you're done.

Banner help
I went to help and followed the instructions, but they seem to be out of step. I have uploaded some banners in my photo center, now what.
Photo to banner
I have a photo in my profile I want to use as a banner. We use to just click "use as banner". Now I'm lost as to how to do it. I tried to search to find the answer but I still don't know. Can you please tell me how to do it.

Eons is aware that the Skin Editor's banner photo selector is not able to select new photos. A new "photo chooser" is being developed and will be used throughout the site to help you choose photos from your Photo Center. It should be ready by Thursday May 29th.
