Calendar of Events
Thanks to my dear friend Kerry, from PHX Singles, we now ALSO have a calendar of events. Somewhere in the future we may be "melding" some events. Time will tell as we evolve.
NOW the fun part.... FEED us ideas to fill this calendar out, so we AT LEAST do something quarterly, more often if possible. Also if you would like your birthday, or an anniversary, or some special event in your area noted please let me know and I will input it. ALSO from our friend Kerry comes a notice of a gathering June 22nd in Prescott for a Bluegrass Festival. Plenty of time for planning.
Thanks Kerry for your GREAT ideas and implementation!

Father dies saving son from crashing wood
by Adam Sneed - Sept. 5, 2008 11:58 AM
The Arizona Republic
A man died when he shoved his son out of the way from a cascade of particleboards at a wood shop Phoenix Friday morning.
About five workers were in Carlton Custom Wood Works moving the particleboards at about 8:30 a.m., said Capt. Courtney Jenkins, public information officer for the Phoenix Fire Department.
The 46-year-old father noticed boards shifting above his 19-year-old son. The boards began to fall. The father pushed the son out of the way, but the man's skull was crushed in the impact.
Jenkins estimated 12 to 15 boards weighing between 1,000 and 1,500 pounds fell on the man.
Jenkins said the son was sitting with his father's head in his lap when crews arrived, but the man died on the scene.

Rustlers Rooste event
Hi Everyone...I made the dinner reservations for tomorrow at Rustlers Rooste...for 13 people at 6:30 P.M. in my first name...NANCY. So far the only members in this group who will be at the event and are not in Phoenix Area Singles are Yesac and his wife.
The table size is the same for 13 as it is for 15. If someone finds he/she will be able to make it...we can add a place setting. It would be better if you let me know beforehand so I can call the restaurant and have an extra seat(s) added before tomorrow night.
Can't wait to see all of you there for a great evening!!! And, celebration of my birthday and kdm85219's birthday

The Return
Soon an old friend will be returning. Let's let Eagleye know how much we missed him and how we continue to pray for resolution in his life!
Anyone care to talk Politics?
John almost hooked me last night, until he talked of DRILLING NOW! While John is a TRUE American hero, his energy views are deadly.
The Republicans talk of more drilling, NOW and proliferation of nuclear power! It will be the demise of our planet, if we do NOT get off the oil/gas habit REAL soon. AFFORDABLE Alternative Energy MUST be first and foremost, or the rest of the rhetoric is all just moot! If we do not address the poor stewardship we have shown the place where we reside, we will HEAR the clock ticking! And Nuclear power...okay, it would be great, if we did not have people trying to find a way to kill us all. And it may be great if we knew how to handle the bi-products....but we DON'T. In some of the mountains in New Mexico we have tons of this crap buried, much too close to us! We DO NOT need to create more problems we cannot resolve and must work on those we can. Geothermal, Wind and Sun IS the only way to go.
This is a plea to use sense, OVER making cents!!!
Peace and Blessings,
W. C. Durnil
