Monthly Buddy Check is a reminder for all of us to contact three friends (these can be EONS friends or private friends/family)to remind them to do their monthly Self-Exam or to make their appointment for a Mamogram. Please remember that our spouses or male Significant Others are also at risk of getting Breast Cancer. So remind them too.

Can't sleep?
What is it that keeps you awake at night? What is it you can't stop thinking about even though you need to get some sleep?

Ok My Wonderful EONS Friends and Sistas
I had my mamogram on July 3rd, and I just got the dreaded letter from the company that does the test. "the results of your recent test needs further evaluation, contact your physician who will be sent a copy of this test result for your next steps in medical care."
Every year I get my exam, I hate the wait until the letter. It's always been good. I think I have told you all, I don't handle things like this well.
So, I need your prayers as often as you want to give them, until I find out what exactly is going on. I know it could be something benign, but I just hate getting test results like this.
I will keep you informed. And I will still be active on EONS. I feel great and don't seem to have any medical problems that I know of.

I am trying keep my mouth shut, I swear I am.
My 37 year old daughter just broke up with another guy who was just using her, she lets it happen.
When he bought a new house he wouldn't even take her by to show it to her, and yet she didn't get it.
He kept telling her to give him some time in it by himself before he took her there. What????
I mean if your dating what is that all about?
Anyway they broke up and she said how hurt she was, and how much she loved him, and then that very night she goes to the bar and picks up a guy who is a friend of her girls.
First off my grandaughters are only 19 and 16 so why he hangs out with them is something I don't understand since he is 29.
He is covered with tatoos and has spikes in his face. He wears black polish on his finger nails, and shaves his head.
I swear I didn't say a word.
On the 4th of July is when I found out about him. I had been happily sipping my beer and in a good mood when he shows up, and I still never said a word.
So this evening I had stopped by her place and she is grilling chicken for him for dinner.
He shows up and we are sitting there talking and my daughter says, I like the way you asked my brother if he wanted something from Taco Bell for dinner but you didn't ask me.
I said, I like the way your grilling chicken on the grill for your boyfriend but you didn't offer me any.
It was a joke between her and I, but this guy says, I'm glad the first time I met you you were pretty tipsy.
I said , Why do you think I'm a bitch sober?
He said he didn't except me to say that, and I said I didn't except his remark either.
I also told him if he makes a remark I will say something back, that is the way I am.
Maybe it's because I think he is a freak but he pissed me off.
Anyway maybe I'm being judgemental but I'm thinking what hole in hell did she drag this thing out of.
What can she be thingking??

I should add she dresses normal.

The Color of Water . . .
I read a story one time about a child who asked his/her mom what was the color of GOD? The mom thought and thought and finally looked out at the ocean and said: "My dear, God is the color of water." So what does that mean to you? Was that a good answer?

I have Been Cutting His Hair For 39 Years
My spouse allowed me to cut his hair when we were dating and has never stopped. Now I have to color and cut, cause he does not do gray hair either. Prior to my having to go to Texas for my internship in '98, he had not been to a salon or barber shop since I started cutting his hair. He finally had to go to one about half way through my year's internship and complained that the guy did a horrible job. Our friends say it is just a "sexual" thing for him and he just likes me working on his head. Did you start a habit like this with you Significant Other? I have now been cutting his hair for 39 years. He will not go to a salon as long as he has me. He is good about it though, when he needs it done he puts it on our trusty fridge calendar.
