My wife is going down to Greenville NC this June / July. I am planning on her dropping me off on SR 1310 (Wayah Gap) at the "AT" crossing and hiking north to Fontana Dam where she will pick me up 5... | posted by CaptainG

heat! YIKES!

i want to hike, but not until it cools down. i don't enjoy outside right now. in a month, i am happy to go with anyone hiking in north GA. | posted by estella

Hiking in TN/ARK/ALA

Try the Buffalo River National Park - has a great campground and short hike to overlook. Also Sipsey Wilderness in Alabama, some nice short hikes, and the Cheehaha National Park in the Talledega N... | posted by crose
