YOUR TASTE BUDS WILL STAND UP AND APPLAUD! Welcome! It's warm and cozy here so come on in and make yourself at home. We'd love to meet you. Gourmet is great, but it's not what we eat everyday. Our thousands of 'Down Home' recipes are for food our families love to eat and never tire of. Many are 5 Star recipes and contest winners. Please drop by and say hello, you'll be so happy you did!
Guidelines
We only require a love for cooking (and eating) the kind of food our families have loved for generations. Not the kind of food with ingredients we never heard of or that it would take a trained chef to create. If you post a recipe that isn't one of your own, please include the source of the recipe (or simply say "unknown") and any background story about it you might have. If you try a recipe and find there's been an error in either the ingredients or instructions, please post your findings so we can correct or remove it immediately. Also, if you have added or detracted ingredients and found it improved the recipe, please post that information as well. This is YOUR group and we treasure any recipes and/or comments you choose to post.
