I B SO HAPPY IN LA.
LOUISIANA: I BE SO HAPPY 2
By now you have surely read that a list of Happiest States ranks Louisiana #1 and some other coastal southern states in the Top Ten.
Yeah, I live in #1 happy swamp USA…I am sooo happy…and sooo conservative…
what does these results say about modern liberalism (aka secular socialism)?
A state that is fat, ignorant and 33% black is the most happy? Must be reasons for that.
Is it their faith, their food, their sports, their outdoors, their music, their family traditions or their ingrained common attitude?
Its sort of like Mississippi being so crime free in the stats despite being 38% black and the least educated (aka ignorant).
That must mean poverty does not cause crime, right? Does that not stand modern liberalism on its head?
Maybe there is a hidden counterbalance. Is it just a coincidence that Mississippi has the most Churches per capita?
One must dig deeper for more truth, more causes or potential causes…unless, of course, truth is not your ultimate research goal.

Daily Grind # 4
This is the last of these messages until January 4 when we go back to school. It's been a not unpleasant experience so far, Except for the guy urinating against the back of the bus stop shelter yesterday afternoon. I hopped off the bus, went to my car which was facing the shelter. A man was standing facing the shelter with his back to me. It was pretty obvious what he was doing and the dark wet patch on the side of the shelter was a dead give away, too.
This morning's ride was uneventful, and the downpour didn't start until after I had gotten to school. I guess it's rain all day with a cool front moving in later this evening.

The Sound of Your Name
Do you like it when someone recalls your name and states it often duriing conversation? How does it make you feel to hear someone you are conversing with, say your name?

Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. —Matthew 6:8
In my early years as a pastor, I served in small churches where finances were often tight. Sometimes our family finances felt the weight of that pressure. On one occasion, we were down to the last of our food and payday was still several days away. While my wife and I fretted about how we would feed our kids in the next few days, our doorbell rang. When we opened the door, we discovered two bags of groceries. We had not told anyone of our plight, yet our provider God had led someone to meet that need.
This reminds me of the Old Testament account of Abraham when he was asked to sacrifice his son Isaac. At just the right moment, God provided a ram instead. Abraham called this place Jehovah-Jireh, “The-Lord-Will-Provide” (Gen. 22:14). He is the One who still cares deeply for His children.
Jesus said, “Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him” (Matt. 6:8). He is constantly caring for and seeking the best for us—a reminder that in times of hardship, need, and fear, we have Someone who cares. Peter wrote that we can cast all our cares upon Jesus, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). We can turn to Him in our time of need. —Bill Crowder

Trying Something Old But New!

Good Morning Gang!
How are you all doing this morning? I hope that you are all bright and cheery even though many are under the wire to get things done for the holiday. There is never enough time and at this stage does it matter? You do what you can do.
I found this picture this morning and it brought back fond memories of childhood in the cold winter months when the snow was knee high. We used to bundle up as kids and tempt the fate of frost bite. Oh, it was soooo cold or was it just that it seemed that way? Growing up in the snow belt of PA it was truly cold. ...more.
