Concentrate on this Sentence
'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence... 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you' Something good will happen to you today; something that you have been waiting to hear.

Did Anyone Go See The Vampire Movie?
Well, it sure did great at the box office! I just can't imagine having enjoyed being in a theater filled with teenaged girls and their cell phones and screaming.
Speaking of vampires, I had a bunch of skin tags removed from my neck on Saturday. My neck was covered with bandaids all weekend, but I was finally able to remove most of them and it looks like a vampire made lunch out of my neck.
Hmmm, maybe that's why people were looking at me funny at Walmart today.
Nah....nothing shocks people at Walmart. :-)

I'm Ticked
My doctor's office has told me that I have to have a doctor visit every time I need pain medication. Has anyone else had a problem with this? Instead of just phoning in the prescription I have to actually make an appointment and pay the co pay and the insurance company will have to pay as well. I'm calling the TV stations and alerting the insurance companies about this. I'm so upset.
Refrigerated Yeast Rolls
Emmakay,
This the recipe for the ice box rolls that I told you about in my previous message. I think that you will like them as much as the cinnamon rolls.

Refrigerator Yeast Rolls
From Southern Living Magazine Dec 1998
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup boiling water
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 (1/4-ounce) envelopes active dry yeast
1 cup warm water (105° to 115°)
6 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl; stir in 1 cup boiling water. Cool. Stir in eggs.
Combine yeast and 1 cup warm water in a 1-cup glass measuring cup; let stand 5 minutes. Stir into egg mixture. Gradually add flour, stirring until blended. Cover and chill at least 4 hours.
Pinch off one-third of dough.
Cover and chill remaining dough up to 5 days, if desired.
Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface. Cut with a 2-inch round cutter. Place 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheets. Brush with melted butter. Let rise at room temperature 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden.
Herb Rolls: Follow procedure for Cinnamon rolls, substituting 1 tablespoon each chopped fresh chives, chopped fresh basil, and chopped fresh rosemary for sugar and cinnamon. Omit powdered sugar glaze. Yield: about 1 1/2 dozen.
Yield: 1 1/2 dozen per portion

My New Owner
Saturday the pet store had a adoption fair for several of the local pet shelters. I decided to go take a look. I have no plans to get a pet. I have been saying since my border collie Lady died in 2002 there would be no more pets for me. But this girl caught my eye. And when they let me hold her, she just snuggled up to me.
See inside for what I brought home.

Our Sugar Bear
We have a 15 year old Pom we rescued who is a 4 lb terror, almost all white with a red cap. She is just the cutest little thing. Is doing what I call the "bezerks" a Pom thing? She'll be walking along & suddenly her tail goes down, her rear end lowers & she races around & around our coffee table with a look of complete joy on her face. Then she just walks away. My big dog watches her, circling her head with a puzzled look on her face & fortunately, doesn't chase her. It's very funny but is it a Pom trait or just my little weirdo?
