Strategic Account Manager

Eons is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join our team and build the premier boomers social network.

The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for online media sales and account management. As a member of the Eons sales team, you will lead the business development efforts and play a major role in raising awareness of the value of our social networking site to major brands and advertising and PR agencies.

List of Responsibilities

• Develop account strategies to support and meet revenue plans
• Develop a thorough understanding of the social networking landscape and the competition
• Conduct presentations at conferences, trade shows, and at ad agencies in order to build product and brand awareness
• Work closely with other departments - including , engineering, marketing, product development, and strategic planning - to achieve business goals
• Develop and communicate key strategic opportunities and create actionable plans to execute them
• Develop sales objectives, revenue plans to hit monthly sales quotas
• Achieve sales results

Qualifications for Position

• 5-10 years experience in media sales
• Previous experience in consultative/solution selling in advertising-ideally within an online media environment
• Ability to be in the field 50% of the time
• Team player
• Familiar with all electronic presentation tools
• Start up or early stage company experience a plus

Software Developers

As a software developer at Eons, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team that is building the leading online community for BOOMers. You will develop and enhance components for our web2.0 social network application and work with the product design team to design innovative new features.

Key Requirements

• Experience in the design and development of commercial web applications
• Knowledge and understanding of web applications, including both front-end technologies (e.g. Javascript, HTML) and back-end components (e.g. scripting and databases)
• Experience developing web software using Ruby on Rails, Java or other object oriented languages
• Demonstrated capacity to learn and take on new challenges

Additional Qualifications

• Working knowledge with MySQL or other RDBMS
• Experience building highly scalable web applications
• Experience with AJAX and/or CSS a plus
• Working knowledge of build and source code control tools (e.g., subversion)
• Experience with open software environments (e.g. Linux, Apache)
• BA/BS in Computer Science; advanced degree a plus
